Unwind in the surfboard decor fenced in private grassy yard taking full advantage of the lush tropical landscaping with hundreds of exotic orchids, a massive 35' Avocado tree, papaya trees, dragon fruit, vanilla bean's and relaxing outdoor living spaces. Our home is a convenient and enjoyable neighborhood stroll or bike ride to the gorgeous beaches of Hanalei Bay as well as the amazing shops, organic grocery stores and incredible restaurants in Hanalei Town. The 2 mile crescent white sand beach of Hanalei Bay was ranked #1 best beach in America by National Geographic! The Hanalei Getaway property is entirely rented to you and your Ohana "family" with a 2 story home of over 2,000 square feet, 4 amazing furnished outdoor lanais, 2 outdoor showers, a beach gear room full of gear for you to use, stacked surf/sup paddleboard/kayak racks, a loaded bike shed and much more! The upstairs spacious master bedroom has a comfortable California King bed, eco friendly A/C unit, woven swinging chair, large double wooden closet, numerous windows high vaulted ceilings and beautiful mountain and waterfall views. The upstairs full bathroom has been recently remodeled with a custom subway tile shower, and an Acacia wood bathroom sink countertop, vaulted ceilings and beautiful views of the lush Hanalei foliage. Lying in the comfortable queen size bed of the second upstairs bedroom you will enjoy the seemingly never ending mountain and waterfall views out the window. The natural light form the numerous windows in the upstairs kitchen, dining room and living room will take your breath away! The kitchen has new eco friendly stainless steel appliances (large refrigerator, dishwasher and electric oven/stove, and it is fully equipped with many cooking accessories (blender, coffee maker/grinder, microwave, etc) for all of your families culinary needs. The upstairs has 2 covered lanai's for enjoying the beautiful well manicured tropical yard and the amazing views. Enjoy your meals at the solid teak with glass top dinning room table that seats 8 adults comfortably. The custom 15' Acacia wood dining bar has 4 Serena & Lily wooden barstools with backs. Relax and watch the 65" HDR Smart Roku TV from the comfortable Pottery Barn 4 seater couch along with the 2 matching oversized chairs and an ottoman all slip covered and regularly washed for your enjoyment. Enjoy your favorite music from the SONOS One Smart speaker. Either take the interior stairs or one of the 3 exterior doorways to enter the downstairs of your Hanalei Getaway vacation home. The over 1,000 square foot interior downstairs has a large living room area with 2 daybeds, King and Queen size, which is a perfect area for kids to hang out and cruise. We can also set up an additional air mattress if you request for your additional 2 guests. There is also another 65" HDR Smart Roku TV, custom hand carved teak couch, hand carved rose wood swinging bench, games, books and plenty of space to relax. There is also a kitchenette with a custom Acacia wood countertop, wet bar sink and an extra full size refrigerator for larger groups with extra space for food and beverages. There is also a half bathroom that the 2 living room day beds can use if you have a large Ohana. The third bedroom is located downstairs and has an eco friendly A/C unit to keep you nice and cool on those warmer summer nights, a ceiling fan, a standing closet and its own ensuite half bathroom. The downstairs has two outside covered lanai's (patios) with plenty of outdoor chairs, couches and tables. rinse off in the private bamboo wrapped custom outside shower with slate floor. There is also a second outdoor shower that's perfect for rinsing off all of the sand from your fun beach day. There is a separate custom laundry room with a new washer and dryer. Hanalei is already an extremely safe town and the tastefully decorated surfboard fence that’s wrapped around the entire home/property will help you to relax knowing that you and your Ohana are safe in your enclosed private yard. Grill your favorite local fish or grass feed Hawai'i beef on the covered propane grill while you watch your kids run around and enjoy the outdoors and pick organic papayas and avocados. The home is accessed from the main road (Kuhio Hwy) with a private driveway and also set back behind the beautiful and quiet Art Gallery Studio property. The two properties are separated by a 6' tall wooden fence decorated in surfboards, a lush green hedge, papaya trees and tropical landscaping. The Hanalei Getaway home is only about 10 houses away from Hanalei Bay and about 15 houses from Hanalei Bay or Hanalei Town and is about a 5 min stroll or a 2 min bike ride. With the rental of our home we include beach gear for our guests at NO additional cost! Kauai has a ton of roaming roosters that make sleeping tough, but Mike even captured and relocated the most enthusiastic of them. The location is perfect. It is conveniently located a few short steps from town and within a 5 minute walk to the beach. The house was immaculate upon entering and was fully stocked with everything one would need to enjoy all that Hawaii has to offer: surfboards, standup paddle boards, boogie boards, snorkeling, equipment, beach, chairs, bikes, and much more. The layout of rooms is terrific and allows for a number of sleeping arrangements, which is wonderful when you have kids of various ages. Communication with Mike and Leila as well as an available concierge were first rate - helpful, prompt and friendly. The kitchen was amazing and since we like to cook, I appreciated the little things like the super sharp knives and the variety of Hexclad cookware. I would definitely plan to stay here again. If you have the chance, you'll have the time of your life. ##### Ziv P. Our stay could not have been more perfect, the house was so clean, in an amazing location, and so well stocked. We were able to cook every day, use surfboards, boogie boards, bicycles, snorkels, beach chairs to enjoy the beach, Micheal and Leila have thought of everything! This home is well appointed for cooking as well as all beach needs ( towels, snorkel gear, stand up paddle boards, surf boards as well as bikes). The interior is bright clean, comfortable and surrounded by lush tropical plants with tons of orchids. The outdoor shower though was the absolute favorite especially at night with the stars out!We walked to the beach and in to town, close distance to the napali coast, tunnels beach and princeville. The location is amazing—close to everything we love about Hanalei. We traveled with our daughter, her family, and my brother and sister, and the house was perfect for all of us. It had everything we needed, was super clean, and really well stocked.The lanai became our favorite hangout spot—we spent so much time out there enjoying the breeze and the view. You can walk to town and walk to the beach in less than 5 mins. My family loved our stay. There was plenty of towels and everything you need to cook. All the beach equipment was amazing. We loaded up the wagon and walked to the beach for the day. The only downside was the family room upstairs gets pretty hot in the afternoon. Maybe it was just the time of year. Lovely view from the porch. If you have a large crowd make a trip to Costco for groceries because the food is expensive. Also make sure you don't have over 6 guests or you'll end up paying extra even though it says sleeps 10\. Overall we had an amazing time. Would definitely go again. ##### Elizabeth N. What a house! The property is so special — tucked away off the street with a carport made of trees and a fence of surfboards, an outdoor shower and bath, tons of beach cruisers and boards, views of the mountains and a quick bike ride to the shops and beach. Part of our reason for choosing this place was because it came with the boards, snorkel equipment, bikes, and everything we want for our vacation. The bedrooms are comfortable and kitchen and bath were well equipped for our family of four. The location is perfect for walking or biking to town or the beach. The only comment we have is that the local chickens and dogs canGet a little noisy, but the managers have provided earplugs for light sleepers. The house is amazing. It is stocked full of adventure gear. We rode bikes to town several times a day. Boogie boarded, snorkeled, surfed and sun bathed at the beach. House is set back from the road a bit, so no road noise issues (and low speed limit in any case). Nice fenced in yard that was great for our toddler. Clean and well furnished. Main living areas get a bit hot during peak of the afternoon but comfortable otherwise and bedroom a/c units kept bedrooms very cool for sleeping at night. This place is gorgeous and in a great spot! It was perfect for our three boys who could spread out. We walked and biked the five minutes to the beach and used the surf boards, sand toys, and all the other gear they provided! Everything was clean and well-taken care of! The outdoor showers were my personal favorite. Downtown Hanalei is a short walk from the house but it is along a busy road, however that never deterred us and it still felt safe with the shoulder on the road and sidewalks. Mike was super helpful and responsive, even later in the evening. Both were walking distance. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen had all brand new pots and pans. The house comes with a ton of beach umbrellas, chairs, bikes, surf boards, boogie boards, kayaks and SUPs. I do suggest that if you come to this house, you rent a pick up truck so you can take the kayaks, SUPs etc to different places to use. The bedrooms all had A/C so that made sleeping at night comfortable. The host was great to work with. We did have an electrical problem while we there that the host got taken care of quickly. An added bonus is that there is a huge avocado tree on the property. We had fresh avocados every day. ##### Eric F. A beautiful and unique place to stay, this Hanalei Getaway invited all of us to enjoy many sweet spots on the property and near it! We were first greeted by a mature avocado tree (which continued to share its ripening fruit each day!), and an incredible fence made of surfboards and blossoming colorful plants. Inside this spacious home are fabulous places to gather, cook, hang out, and play games. There are multiple covered spaces outside that allow one to listen to rain and look for rainbows. We were all especially fond of the outdoor showers and bathtub. We all so appreciated that there were bikes of all sizes to accommodate us, as well as a plethora of beach toys.
