  • Hawaii Life Presents Hale Haena - Your private oasis on the stunning North Shore of Kauai. Take in awe-inspiring mountain and peekaboo ocean views, and follow a short private path less than 100 steps to one of the most beautiful beaches on Kauai. Surrounded by lush tropical plants (including citrus, avocado, papaya, and noni trees), this home offers guests privacy and peace, completed by the sound of the ocean. Here you will find everything you need for the Kauai getaway of your dreams. Private and secluded, yet only 12 minutes away from the restaurants and shops of Hanalei and steps away from Hanalei Day Spa, Napali Art Gallery and Coffee Shop, and Gaia Restaurant.

    As you step into this home, you will be immediately welcomed by abundant natural light and a lovely, open floor plan which allows Kauai’s cooling trade winds to easily move between spaces. Contemporary decor and a calming color palette will offer you the vacation vibes you have been waiting for. The large, vaulted ceiling living room features comfortable furniture and access to two covered lanais, offering lounge furniture and a dining area, to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. The chef of your group will love the spacious kitchen offering ample counter space, modern appliances, lush views, and everything you need to prepare an island-style meal at home! Amenities include a gas burner stove and oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and outdoor propane grill.

    Three ensuite bedrooms offer a king, king, and two twin beds. Each room has a split a/c unit for those rare occasions when the sea breezes are not enough. Enjoy a shower or soak in your lovely ensuite, decorated with earth tone tiles that make you feel connected to nature. *Please note: the Jacuzzi tub in the downstairs bathroom has jets that are unable to be fixed.* For the full experience, try your private outdoor shower after a day at the beach! There is so much to do from this location – hike and explore the tropical beauty of the Na Pali coast and Ke'e Beach or visit Tunnels (Makua) Beach for world-class swimming, snorkeling, and breathtaking views of Makana Mountains.

Great communication before our trip — and such a gorgeous home that’s well stocked all around. The view from the front lanai never gets old. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Just know that you are driving down a windy, secluded part of the island.

Rainbow

We saw a rainbow from the back balcony. It was beautiful. The beds were so good that I’m getting a new bed at home. The pillows are the best too. This house has everything you need. The outside shower came in handy. Thank you for letting us stay! The Woods family

A Great Family Stay in Kauai

Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at this house!!! The private beach was outstanding and a short walk to some great snorkeling....a bit farther for some outstanding snorkeling at Tunnels. Comfortable rooms, AC worked perfectly, kitchen was well stocked...a small market 5 minutes away and a larger grocery store just 15 minutes up the road. If you're looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy time with family and friends, this is the place!!! We will very likely stay here again!

Great Stay

The property was in a great location, as our family likes the feel of a little more isolation. Amazing views of the Mountains from the rooms upstairs. Only the bedrooms have air conditioning but opening the sliding doors on both sides of the house in the living room allowed for a great breeze. Steps to the beach and a minimal drive to larger beaches like Makua/Tunnels and Hanalei. The house sits very close to the main road, so you can hear traffic which we didn’t mind as we tend not to sleep in. Overall very clean and comfortable.

Amazing Kauai Vacation Home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at the Hale Haena home on Kauai! The location was perfectly peaceful and just far enough away from the crowds of Hanalei but still close enough for a night out. Easy access to the beach with everything we could need. We rarely saw anyone else on the beach. The house was comfortable and perfectly clean. The only slightly negative comment is that it took us a long time to find the washer/dryer on the porch! due to the humidity outside and it being a front-load, the washer did have a little musty smell but we had no issues when using it.

This part of the island is our favorite and most beautiful.Really enjoyed having air conditioning available in the bedrooms. Short walk to the beach. Plenty of nice beach chairs. Note that there is a car that may be parked in the driveway - this is the owner's car that remains there. We were afraid we were at the wrong house upon arrival at dark.Did not cook, but had everything one would need.Being on the north shore, there are periodic power outages, but power restored quickly. Internet was great. Could stream television while kids also streamed/used iPads/computers.

The beach was great to sit by and relax, but was advised that it was a little treacherous for swimming and/ or surfing. I liked the remoteness of the house and it felt like I was in the middle of a jungle. I would definitely rent this house again.
