This small, converted carriage house was perfect. It was situated within vineyard with an unaffiliated tasting room on the property. It was small but had just about everything we could want. Stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, lovely shower, and several places outside to sit and watch the grapes grow. The only thing it could have used was a small closet or chest of drawers so as not to be living entirely out of a suitcase. But that's a minor nit. Otherwise it was absolutely wonderful. I love how it’s decorated and the bed is SO comfortable. The kitchen and bath have everything a traveler needs. The views are stunning. You’re given the freedom to explore the property— so welcoming and friendly. There is short hike up to these amazing old oak trees and picnic table that is just the thing in the early morning and at sunset. Cocavin feels private but safe and secure. I felt off the beaten path but not too remote. It’s situated just off a beautiful road dotted with wineries, farms and vineyards, pastures with cows and adorable goats. My camera got a workout. I thought I was in paradise and can’t wait to visit again next spring.
