The Omni Berkshire is in a good location, busy and walkable. A big plus was that we found street parking across from the hotel’s entrance. We stayed at this hotel because we were attending the US Open. The lobby had a tennis theme (outfitted with table tennis) so that was a nice touch. As for our room, I prefer a lower floor which we had, but no view whatsoever. Well, a view of the adjoining building about 25’ away. Didn’t know if that was because we booked through a third party. Anyway, the room was attractive and spotless. However, we were very disappointed to learn that the room didn’t have a mini fridge. The front desk informed us that one had to be requested ahead of time. A tad unusually when you’re paying that much for a room in NYC. And btw, no coffee maker either! Also,I was so excited to check out the 17th floor roof deck and the view. Turns out it was about five chairs squeezed into a very narrow, very short space. It think it was about 10-ish on a Saturday night and we could not access it. In closing, we probably would not stay there again unless we got an incredible rate.
