Amazing location!! It deserves five stars for that. Short walk to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, & public transportation. The staff was friendly and mostly accommodating. I waited in line for a while to check in and it did not seem to be a long line, with just 4 people waiting! But they took at LEAST 10 minutes per customer. Complimentary water during the wait would have been nice. I later learned that you have to stand in that line to speak with the staff about almost anything and there was never really more than one or two people at the desk, even though there is definitely space at the counter & need for more. The restaurant/bar in the lobby The Library is really cute. Nice big windows perfect for people watching. Good cocktails and food which was pretty appropriately priced for lunch. Fish & chips was really good. The gift shop has all of your essentials so check there first if you forgot something in your suitcase. Rooms mediocre. Very small & so is the bathroom, lobby areas could be updated and kept a bit cleaner. No microwave in room but there is one on each floor. The lobby has inadequate seating for the size of the hotel. Overall good. I would stay again.
