Winterwood Retreat is a tranquil Steamboat vacation rental location. This roomy 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom 1,604 sq. ft. townhome overlooks Burgess Creek and is ideally situated across the street from National Forest and the Creekside biking and hiking trail. The 3 level townhome has been remodeled with tile flooring, slate surround fireplace, quartz bathrooms and new carpeting throughout.

Enter on the middle level into a mudroom with a bench and storage for your gear. You are lead into the open, fully stocked kitchen featuring gorgeous granite counters, stainless steel appliances, refinished cabinets and counter seating (3 bar stools). Right off the kitchen is a spacious dining and living room offering ample, comfortable seating. Kick back on the brand new sofas (including a sleeper sofa) and watch the brand new big screen TV or warm up by the brand NEW gas fireplace. Open the living room sliding doors and walk out to the covered deck overlooking Burgess creek and enjoy a coffee, cocktail or a meal in the serene surroundings. There is also a BBQ grill on the covered deck for year-round use. The main level has a full bathroom, including a washer and dryer for your convenience.

The Master suite sits on the top floor with vaulted ceilings, an attached bonus bedroom and a beautifully updated full bathroom, making it a perfect family set up. It offers a comfy king bed and a twin bed and trundle bed in the adjoining bedroom.

The second bedroom features a queen bed and a bunk bed with two XL twin beds. It's on its own floor and right next to the in-home sauna!. There is a full bathroom on this level too.

Seclusion and privacy yet so close to the summer and winter recreation, along with the updated interiors makes Winterwood the perfect mountain retreat.

Most mountain residences, including this property, do not have air conditioning. Fans are provided for your comfort.

Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.

Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.

Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.

Not worth the price

Pictures of the place exaggerate its layout. Kitchen is very small, really only one person should be in it. Dishwasher was broken as the soap dispenser did not release. The microwave was not working and a underwhelming make shift microwave was on the kitchen counter. The sheets and pillows are rough and need to be replaced. The back door has a loose lock and wasn’t locked when we came in. The biggest thing is the mice dropping in the place. I contacted staff and they gave responses that were sarcastic and would not provide a mangers name. This is not worth the price and I wouldn’t stay with iTrip again. Extremely underwhelming.

Nice, clean property, close to the mountain and great free shuttle service. We had very spotty WiFi, however; not sure if this was due to faulty equipment or inclement weather. Overall a nice stay with convenience and good service.

Nice place but needed some TLC. Major problem: mouse droppings in the downstairs bathroom and along wall baseboard. Less than major problem the downstairs shower handle was broken and master bathroom shower drain backed up. Plumber had work it over but did a great job.

Great place, close to the slopes!

We had a great time staying here with our group of family and friends! We were able to easily shuttle ourselves to the Thunderhead chair lift for skiing. Also the home had enough chairs so that we could all sit around the dining table and eat together, which is sometimes hard to find.

Nice property. Changes have been made to the dining room chairs and bar stools, they are metal now. Sauna is awesome! Adults stayed on the third floor with the king bed and trundle while the kids stayed in the basement. Shuttle was convenient. 3 full bathrooms were awesome for 8 people.

Great Place

Had a group of friends up for a weekend away in Steamboat and this place was great! Comfy, clean. The shuttle service was super convenient and the drivers were always so nice. The company was super responsive with communication if any questions arrived.

Broken appliances made vacation work..

Rather than repairing or replacing broken appliances iTrips or the owner decide to just email several days in advance and notify us that we should manually do dishes. They didn’t have a sink plug, a dish drying rack or hand towels to dry the dishes. The broken dishwasher was filled with horrible smelling sludge. Do not recommend this property or any property managed by iTrips.

Just Like Being at Home

This was an amazing place to stay! It has everything that you could ever think of needing while you are on vacation. To our family, it was just like being at HOME! The check in process was nice and smooth. The communication with the owners (even before arrival) and even the rental company was fast and exceptional. The location was great and the drive up to the property was magnificent!!! It was surprisingly a lot closer to the mountain that we expected which was a good thing. It is also located in somewhat of a secluded and quiet area which is exactly what we wanted. Oh and the areas around the property for us to just play in the freshly fallen snow were perfect! The amount of room/ space for a family of 4 was more than we expected. The kitchen had more appliances, pots/pans, utensils than we could have ever imagined. My kids were even surprised with the "crockpot" that was available. Of course they mentioned that the only thing it didn't have was an "air fryer" but that's just because they were looking for something that the kitchen did not have. This place had more than enough of extra blankets, sheets, pillows, and towels for our family. Which was something that we definitely appreciated. Oh, and I cannot forget to mention that there was an abundance of paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher soap, sponges, and even toilet paper!! I definitely want to thank this place for having their "Magic Bag" vacuum pump available for use. This is because I accidentally forgot to bring ours with us so I was a bit worried on how I would re-seal our bags for our trip back home. The only SLIGHLTY negative thing that we had to say about this place was that the two curtains in the living room did not completely cover the entire back sliding door. However, this was easily "fixed" by using a bed sheet to help cover this opening. This is DEFINITELY a place that me and my family agreed on that we would love to stay again while in Steamboat! Thank you again for having us and for also having everything we could have needed during our stay !

Great location

Best part of this rental was the location. The shuttle drop off to thunderhead was very convenient but is notable that it does not run from 10-2:30. We walked home for lunch the first day and it was not a convenient walk in ski boots. After day 1 we figured out how we could best manage our schedule to utilize the shuttle. The layout was excellent for two families—each staying on a separate floor and having the common area on the ground floor. Cooking pans were in a little disrepair and are no longer non-stick, but no way the owners or property management company could know that without being notified. Based on the great conditions of the entire place, I am certain this will be an easy fix. Wouldn’t hesitate to rent again if we come back to steamboat. The management company was wonderful to work with—very responsive to any questions and went above and beyond when answering them, even late at night. Great experience overall!

Great Location in the woods

We loved this condo. It wasn’t apart of some big complex and had a great balcony overlooking trees and a creek. Interior was very clean and bright. Beds were comfortable. It wasn’t an issue for us but the third bedroom is accessed only through the master so I felt it should have been advertised as a two bedroom. We would definitely stay there again

Excellent Location.

Somewhat dated interior. No deadbolt or other method of securing front door other than cypher door knob. Little privacy at night on main floor due to lack of window coverings. BBQ rusted out. It is however an excellent location in the trees next to a stream that kept it cool during the heat wave without air conditioning. I'd stay again for reasons of the location.

Cozy home close to the slopes!

The best part of this unit is definitely its walkability to Thunderhead Lift. Even though there's not a designated sidewalk, there are few enough cars driving around, and the ones we passed were all very cautious and gave us a wide birth. The home itself is well-stocked and very cozy. Some things to note are that the extra bedroom with the trundle is connected to the master bath, so whoever stays there must walk through the master bedroom, and that the fan in the kitchen isn't directly over the stove, so cooking can sometimes set off the smoke detector, Overall, wonderful stay though!
