"Old hotel but very clean and comfortable! It is in downtown and ideal for exploring the surrounding area. The cable car is half a block away and BART and Muni Light rail trains are about 2 blocks away.

"The hotel was great and super close to the BART if you are traveling from the airport. The staff at the Marker are fabulous and so very friendly. The neighbourhood is a bit scary but I didn't feel unsafe."

"Great location, friendly staff, and very comfy beds. The California St trolley is right around the corner, and Fisherman's Wharf only a 10 minute drive away. Parking is expensive at $40 per night, and the $30 breakfast buffet is overpriced and really underwhelming. The pancakes were hard as a rock, and there are no soft drinks available. We felt ripped off after eating there. Go around the corner to Grubstake Diner for a real breakfast at a fraction of the cost. Other than the (very) overpriced restaurant, this is a great hotel. We would definitely stay again."
