"Quick Stay-Perfect"
I had business in the Bay Area so decided to enjoy the comfort and slower pace Half Moon Bay. EXCELLENT DECISION. I will return when I can stay longer. I did enjoy a great walk on the beach and a perfect view for breakfast!

"Prime San Francisco coast location"
We live less than 100 miles from this hotel, and are always looking for weekend getaway-to-the coast locations. Our favorite San Mateo coast restaurant is nearby. This was our first stay at the Lighthouse Inn Best Western Plus in Pacifica, it was our 40th wedding anniversary week -- and we will definitely be back. Staff upgraded our room from a partial ocean view to an oceanfront room, and the panorama and sounds of the surf were spectacular,

"The jewel in the crown"
We travelled from Monument Valley to San Francisco on this trip, and of all the hotels we stayed in this ones occupies the most special place in our hearts. Rev the Innkeep was a lovely man, and bumped us to a better room because it was pretty quiet. The room on the front, at the top, was an utter revelation. The immaculate interior, spa bath at the bottom of the bed and ornate gas fire were one thing, but the balcony onto the beach and ocean was another. We spent the night drinking wine and listening to the amazing sound of the waves, and were lucky enough to get there in time for sunset. The breakfast burrito was great, and they're happy to deliver to your room. Amazing place that I'm worried will never be beaten. Couldn't recommend that Inn, or even that room specifically, highly enough.

We were able to check in early which was nice. Room was great but wouldn't say that we had a deep soaking tub as the description stated.

"Loved the atmosphere here"
Rooms were tiny but perfect for two people We got a room that said it would accomodate 3 but would not recommend unless with a child as the third. Shared bathrooms were very clean, and comfortable. Will stay again to try the restaurant. For the price it could not be beat. They even got us a ride to the airport. The licorice and massage chairs were my little guilty pleasures...Loved the old quaint and spooky feeling at night and extremely quiet. LOVED thank you!

"Comfortable and lovely staff"
We enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Heritage. It was my mother's 45th Birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable stay. Christina with conceirge in particular planned a whole day tour of Napa with me only giving her a few ideas. The room had an amazing view of the bay, we really couldn't of asked for more. Thank you to the Fairmont staff for making us feel welcomed!

When it comes to SF beaches, it all boils down to your style preferences.

For an all-around good option, check out Ocean Beach. This stretch of sand is the largest of the beaches in the city and gives you a distinct feeling of freedom from the hustle and bustle of town. This beach is also a favourite of surfers if you want to hop on a board, or perhaps just watch the pros slice through the water. Desire something a little more scandalous? Make your way to Baker Beach. Considered the “nude beach” of the city, this side of the shore is a favourite amongst bold locals. Prefer something a little more PC? Head down to East Beach, nicknamed China Beach. This spot is considered the most family friendly, as the waters are shallow and there are lifeguards on duty during the summer. This sandy area also includes grills and picnic benches, if you’re looking for a place to BBQ before hitting the waves.

Once you’re ready to wash the sand off, head back to your cozy San Francisco beach hotel. Whether you want a spot right along the shore or you’d like a place more inland, book right here on for the top discounts on hotels in San Francisco.

No matter if you want a morning beach run in the fog or an afternoon sunbathing session, count on San Francisco beaches to offer you what you need.
