What I needed was a clean, economical room without a bunch of unnecessary glitz. Well located near food (and even the ocean in this case). Not a long drive to the Peninsula. This motel fit the bill. The room was very clean (newly remodeled?), quiet, and had all the basics. Everything worked. There ...
It's a motel. If your plans are to be near the beach mostly, this would be perfect! They have a small parking lot but we were able to park unit three nights in a row. One of the cleaner motels I've been to. Not the Fairmount. But you get it. Staff was super friendly. Check in was quick and easy. ...
When we checked in, we were assigned a room that had obviously not been clean and might have even been going through a renovation. We were moved rooms, but the keys did not work - multiple times. Upon returning to the office for the 4th time, they upgraded our room to the lagoon view and were very ...
Very short stay but a nice one. We had a comfortable bedroom and the hotel was well located : close to the shore and to restaurants, shops and grocery. Too bad Carl the fog was very strong !
We stayed 1 night on our anniversary. Very clean and quaint. The hot tub and pool area were nice but the hot tub wasn’t hot and didn’t work. Which was kind of a let down. But overall a great place to stay for the money.
San Remo is in North Beach and is a 5-10 minute walk to every attraction the city has to offer...additionally it is a quaint bed and breakfast that was built in 1906.I will stay here the next time I'm in San Francisco.
Whether you’re looking for an urban beach or a secluded nude beach, San Francisco, California, doesn’t disappoint when it comes to their unique strips of sand. Remember to pack your towel and get ready to explore the shoreline areas of SF.
When it comes to SF beaches, it all boils down to your style preferences.
For an all-around good option, check out Ocean Beach. This stretch of sand is the largest of the beaches in the city and gives you a distinct feeling of freedom from the hustle and bustle of town. This beach is also a favourite of surfers if you want to hop on a board, or perhaps just watch the pros slice through the water. Desire something a little more scandalous? Make your way to Baker Beach. Considered the “nude beach” of the city, this side of the shore is a favourite amongst bold locals. Prefer something a little more PC? Head down to East Beach, nicknamed China Beach. This spot is considered the most family friendly, as the waters are shallow and there are lifeguards on duty during the summer. This sandy area also includes grills and picnic benches, if you’re looking for a place to BBQ before hitting the waves.
Once you’re ready to wash the sand off, head back to your cozy San Francisco beach hotel. Whether you want a spot right along the shore or you’d like a place more inland, book right here on Expedia.ca for the top discounts on hotels in San Francisco.
No matter if you want a morning beach run in the fog or an afternoon sunbathing session, count on San Francisco beaches to offer you what you need.
