Traveling on business and needed a last minute hotel at near SFO for a 6am flight. Nothing under $300. Rate was only $140 and less than 15 minutes from rental car center at SFO.
The hotel was comfortable and facilities were fine - nothing special, but then this is a relatively reasonably priced option for this area. The only issue was some highway noise. The included breakfast was good.
The hotel room was very nice and very spacious. Loved the extra vanity for getting ready. Since we were there for a wedding in the area. Staff was very friendly.
This was our second visit to The San Remo. For us, it's the perfect place to stay in San Francisco. The hotel is just a few minute walk from Pier 39 for shopping and restaurants. It's also only minutes away from any tour you'd like to take, whether you want to catch a boat to Alcatraz or ride a Segway ...
This is an older motel that is positioned nicely near the Golden Gate Park and the ocean. For us, it was all about the location and being able to look around San Francisco at a reasonable price. This is close to where the "N" rail-car line terminates (at the ocean) so you can jump on at a reasonable ...
Older building but spacious. Kitchen with stove, full size fridge. Could use some cosmetic work but I would stay here again. TV in living room and bedroom. Shopping center across the street was handy.
Whether you’re looking for an urban beach or a secluded nude beach, San Francisco, California, doesn’t disappoint when it comes to their unique strips of sand. Remember to pack your towel and get ready to explore the shoreline areas of SF.
When it comes to SF beaches, it all boils down to your style preferences.
For an all-around good option, check out Ocean Beach. This stretch of sand is the largest of the beaches in the city and gives you a distinct feeling of freedom from the hustle and bustle of town. This beach is also a favourite of surfers if you want to hop on a board, or perhaps just watch the pros slice through the water. Desire something a little more scandalous? Make your way to Baker Beach. Considered the “nude beach” of the city, this side of the shore is a favourite amongst bold locals. Prefer something a little more PC? Head down to East Beach, nicknamed China Beach. This spot is considered the most family friendly, as the waters are shallow and there are lifeguards on duty during the summer. This sandy area also includes grills and picnic benches, if you’re looking for a place to BBQ before hitting the waves.
Once you’re ready to wash the sand off, head back to your cozy San Francisco beach hotel. Whether you want a spot right along the shore or you’d like a place more inland, book right here on Expedia.ca for the top discounts on hotels in San Francisco.
No matter if you want a morning beach run in the fog or an afternoon sunbathing session, count on San Francisco beaches to offer you what you need.
