It is extremely peaceful in the mountains and it is easy to hear the nature outdoors. There are so many incredible things to do in this area so please check out our guidebook for ideas! Internet here is with Starlink and gives us great speeds of up to 150 Mbps. As an engineer who needs a good workspace, I made sure I was able to be comfortable and work efficiently while here. Power Backup: This property features a reliable generator to ensure uninterrupted power during power outages. Noise is taken very seriously and there are external cameras on the property. Traveling during the winter has risks due to potential snow storms. Always check the weather before traveling. The county plows this road, however, during a major storm it could take significant time for the road to be plowed but this is rare. There are also shovels provided for the driveway. During the winter months make sure to have chains available. We encourage you to purchase travel insurance for any home in the mountain area, especially for Yosemite. During the summer there is extreme fire danger. There is absolutely NO tolerance for smoking and outdoor fires during the summer months except the propane fire pit. The county will HEAVILY fine you for creating any campfires plus it will be documented via cameras and/or neighbors. Parking is in front of the garage and 2 additional spots right when you turn left to get up to the driveway/garage area. Bass Lake was 6 minutes, Oakhurst 7 min and the entrance to Yosemite only 25 minutes from the property. The space was perfect for our two families traveling together (4 adults and 3 kids -13, 11 and 9). The kids made use of the above ground hot tub and pool. The garage converted to game room was also a huge win for the kids offering pool, shuffleboard, foosball and their own tv. Needs a pool cleaner and landscaper. There was a christmas wreath on the door and a snowshovel next to it. Its june. I just feel like nobody is keeping up with the grounds. It’s about an hour and 20 minute drive down to the valley if you leave early enough. The beds were comfortable and the host communicated with us throughout our stay. We had to have them deliver us dish towels as there was not any there when we arrived. The only issue we had was with the stove, I’m assuming the previous guest cooked fish in it and when we tried to use the oven it stunk up the house.
