About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Post Hurricane Helene Retreat & Respite !

If you need a Place to Retreat, Recharge, and oh...I don't know, have basic amenities after this heck of a storm; message Us! We have water, power, wifi, etc...

We strive to provide more than the basic amenities; ie, smart tv, fiber wifi, linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, shampoo/conditioner, a stocked kitchen--including: coffee, olive oil, spices, honey, aluminum foil, and firewood, so you don't have to bring a car full of suitcases. And can Provide Pre-trip Personal Grocery Shopping if needed!

The King sized bed in the Master is comfy with an amazing morning view. Rose petals can be added for Special Occasions --Honeymoon, Anniversary, or Just Because...

The second bedroom has a Queen bed, a Twin loft bed and a fold out sleeper ottoman. Great for the kids!

The open concept Great room has a wood stove, seating for all, a desk with a view, blazing fast fiber wifi, and kitchen table.

There is a webber gas grill on the covered deck. The hot tub is located on the open deck for optimal stargazing. There are two chaise longes on the sun deck for sun or moon bathing!

The fire-pit has seating for 4 and skewers for s'mores.

The most unique feature for this cabin is the dock over the Toccoa River. Perfect for morning coffee, an evening cocktail, or enjoying the best Trout fishing in north Georgia.

Please note there are No doors on the bedrooms and NO washer or dryer available. There is a curtain on the second bedroom and the bed is not visible from the door of the master bedroom.

Guest access:
Our Cabin is located on a privately maintained gravel road--Pot holes happen and there are pull offs for passing. There is free parking for up to three vehicles depending on the size of the vehicles. Definitely not appropriate for trailers, pull behinds, or RV's. A stroll along the gravel road has wildflowers in the summer and fantastic views in the winter. You can put in the river at our dock and float, kayak, or canoe down to the Horseshoe Bend Park. It's about an hour and a half float depending on how fast the river is running.
Other things to note
No matter what the time of year or what the weather; the way the light, the foliage, and the river change you are swept away with its Beauty. It's almost like watching God's Paint Brush. It is our pleasure to Share!

Me and my Wife really enjoyed our weekend! The cabin is in a perfect location to get away and relax. We loved the hot tub and fishing off of the pier! Downtown Blue Ridge is not far at all so that was a plus too. We will definitely be back to stay here again!

We will never not stay directly on the Toccoa ever again. Lesson learned :) The cabin location is very peaceful; we had a great experience.

Everything about the property was exactly as shown/described. The river was even more beautiful and relaxing in person. The only warning I would give is to not take a very large truck. The roads and parking space are very narrow, but we did just fine in our Tahoe. We can’t wait to stay here again!

My Husband, pup and I stayed at Nora's cabin for a long Birthday weekend and had an amazing time. My husband got to fly fish daily right outside our door. I loved sitting out back on the loungers curled up reading a book while listening to the river go by. The cabin is also close to downtown Blue Ridge and close to Elijay for wonderful daytrips to shopping, restaurants, vineyards and so much more. We are hoping to be back sometime in spring and will definitely look into staying at Nora's again!!!

Host was amazing with great communication on checking in and making sure we arrived safely. Overall a good experience and a Great looking cabin. There was a few small things that need to be addressed but it’s a rental so maybe they didn’t know about them. I did let the host know that there is a smell outside and some of the hot tub jets were not working.

I rented this cabin with my daughter to spend time with her before her wedding day. She got dressed overlooking the river in a calm, peaceful setting. After the wedding ceremony the bride and groom came back to the cabin for some beautiful backdrop photos. The check-in process was SO EASY Nora was very fast to respond and helped with all my questions immediately and was very accommodating on our check in and check out times. We were already thinking of renting again for their 1year anniversary. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful cabin with us on such a special day.

We enjoyed our stay. The outdoor living space is large and beautiful. A walkway leads down to the dock where we spent most of our time peacefully fishing and listening to the river. The cabin was extremely clean, spacious with a great view of the river. There are no doors on the bedrooms but since it was just the two of us it worked out. The owner is very nice and hospitable. She's stays on the property only 50 yards away so if you need anything she is right there. Overall, it was a great get away if you love sitting outdoors and enjoying all that nature offers.

Nora was a fantastic host. Her beautiful home was just perfect for our family of three. We planned a quick little trip to reset and reset is exactly what we did. Loved loved loved being on the Toccoa River. The walk to the dock was easy peasy. The yard was perfect for our senior pups. The roads were super easy to navigate. We were in a Yukon and it was no problem at all. My favorite part was laying in the super comfy king size bed reading a book and watching the water rush by. We will definitely be back. Can’t wait!! Thank you so much, Nora!! The Case family

Have been been renting in north Georgia for fifteen years. This one is a keeper. Will not hesitate to book again if available. Excellent property/location and the owner bent over backwards and was the most accessible I’ve ever experienced. Just know that the water is from a well and is not really potable (there is filtered in the fridge) and google “Blue Ridge Dam Water Release Schedule” to check the windows if you are going to get in the river, when the let it go the level/current picks up faster than one might imagine. As clean and well equipped a rental as I have ever had, I’ll add.

We really enjoyed our week at the Misty River Cabin. It was already dark when we arrived and were welcomed with twinkling Christmas lights shining all around. Nora and her team had also decorated inside with a beautiful Christmas tree and lights. It was perfect. There were special touches of the Christmas season all around which added to the comfy, cozy feeling of the cabin. The view from our bedroom the next morning was perfect with the quickly moving river and it's peaceful surroundings. The cabin had everything we needed. The kitchen was organized and well stocked to prepare any meal. They even had treats and doggie bowls for our pets. Nora made herself available should we need anything at all. The cabin was comfortable and clean. Nora and her team made our Christmas one that we will always remember! We Thank You for sharing your home with us! We hope to return one day!

First impression we found the kitchen to not be fully cleaned. The stove top, fridge, sink and cutting board had food particles left on it. Decided to clean myself and go on with our stay. Checked the bed sheets and found lots of bark/tree debris in it so badly that I was offered new sheets. What sealed the deal is the fire pit is nothing like described and the hot tub didn’t even have water in it which was half the appeal…oh and did I forget to tell you there are NO DOORS on the rooms! We left our holiday trip and went back home. Maybe better luck next time?

This was a great location. Very close to Downtown Blue Ridge. We had the mountain on one side of us and the River on the other. We were able to see wild turkey, a beaver, deer, and a Goose that was very fond of us and kept the other geese away from the house. He was perfect for the kids to see every day. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad rides past the home so it was great to wave to the passengers and hear the train whistle as it got close. Home had everything we needed for cooking. Between the hot tub and the dock, the kids were never bored over our 4 nights. I had great morning walks with my dogs down the gravel roads. We saw deer each morning. We enjoyed fires on some chilly nights with the wood burning stove fireplace. Internet was fast as I had a business issue I had to tend to one morning. The bed slept comfortably. We will definitely return for some future getaways. We parked our large SUV out front just fine.

We loved it! It’s well stocked, close to Ellijay, Blue Ridge and the Toccoa tubing / Ocoee rafting! We thoroughly enjoyed it. There aren’t bedroom doors so good for family or close friends.

Little bit of gravel road to get to it but once we settle in. We didn’t want to leave. Everything is labeled and organized. Very private and peaceful. It has been raining while we were staying but we drove out to Macaysville which took us 12 min to get to. Conveniently located. We loved it. Thank you for the space
