I had a great time at HI New Orleans! It was my first time in a hostel and I was apprehensive about the privacy and the "have my stuff stolen" aspect. The beds had a curtain and the locker was big enough that I could put both my luggage and my backpack in it, so no problem there.
Every thing was kept very clean: the beds, the rooms, the bathrooms, the lobby downstairs, etc...The location is great as it is close to the FQ, the CBD and the main streetcars. The staff was also helpful when needed. I...

The location, price and atmosphere were great. This is a hostel run by young travelers with great attitudes. They organize daily events and we were lucky enough to enjoy vegetarian jambalaya and the company of other residents and staff. Our room was private with ensuite bath and patio. I will recommend Madame Isabelles to my friends and hope to return in the future.
