The southern hospitality that I experienced overall while I was visiting New Orleans was amazing and completely unexpected. Touring the French Quarter was great, lots of history to be learned. Watch out for husslers asking about your shoes.

Stayed overnight after a cruise and before our flight home. Area around hotel has plenty of walkable restaurants and a very nice mall, so lots to do for a short stay.
