"The staff couldn’t have been better. They always went the extra mile. The rooms were terrific, the breakfast was superb and the bar was fun. My only reservation is that, after breakfast, it was incredibly quiet and, I surmise because the accommodation is split between the hotel and accompanying lodges, there was no one around for much of the time. "

"This is a beautiful property adjacent to the St. George Castle. It is at the very top of the hill, so bring walking shoes to handle all the walking of the cobblestones! Our driver wasn’t even able to make it the whole way there so we walked part of the way while the staff had a golf cart for our bags. Staff was very attentive, and able to answer questions and offer assistance every time we asked."

"Hotel facilities not at 5 stars level. Friendly and accommodating staff made a difference. Sauna was not working when tried. Gym located on an adjacent property, not the best gym layout or equipment. Would recommend nonetheless "

"Very well designed and maintained Hotel within a Golf resort. Very helpful staff ( especially Alexander @ the Reception) ! Close to many vineyards, we were attending a wedding at one of them. Uber easily available ( average 10-12 mins wait )"

"We loved Ritz Carlton Penha Longa. Excellent hotel with beautiful room, great pool and spa and a golf course, if that is your thing. Convenient to both Sintra and Cascais. 2 different Michelin starred restaurants on property and a very nice breakfast."
