"The room was clean but the building we stayed in had a strange smell that lingered in the room the whole time we were there. It was a good room for one night. I liked how they had a small kitchenette in the room with a good size fridge/freezer. The pool looked nice but we didn’t have time to swim. The staff was very friendly when checking in and out. We had a hard time finding a good restaurant by the hotel so we found ourselves driving to the next town over to eat our meals. It had a good size...

This was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in made even better by the superb staff. A big thank you to Sandra and Weverton and all the other staff. It was a delightful experience in all ways. The daily breakfast was fresh and wholesome and tasty. The dinners we had there were excellent. The rooms were beautiful. The pool was awesome and the view was incredible. Can't wait to get back.

This was a more expensive hotel then what we would normally stay in, but we wanted to be close to the thermal pool. This was a very beautiful hotel. Rooms were very nice, clean. Breakfast buffet was very good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. They provided special towels and robes for the pools whice were a nice bonus. Walking distance to groceries, restauants, thermal pools.

An absolutely amazing stay, they staff were fantastic and accommodating. The restaurants were all fantastic and the rooms were large and very comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with kids or alone!

Spent 2 weeks here as part of a package deal with flight included. The room was very comfortable and a beautiful view of the marina. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great location for strolling in the city or using as a base to travel around the island with easy access to highways. Restaurant meals were delicious. The breakfast buffet was good but never changed throughout my stay.

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel. The grounds are so peaceful and beautiful. The staff is exceptional, going out of their way to take care of our needs, they feel more like friends than hotel employees. Breakfast is delicious and a great variety of options. Our daughter fell in love with the cats and 3 new kittens that live on site. We won't hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit Sao Miguel.

What a great spot if you want quiet and tranquility, the view was spectacular. Went for a nice walk in the morning along the bluff not a place to go if you do not have a car or don’t bring groceries with you. It’s a bit far out that is what I loved about it.

The bathroom was the best hotel bathroom I've seen in decades -- enough counter space, 2 sinks, things arranged in sensible ways (I'm convinced that most hotel bathroom designers have never stayed in a hotel!).
The breakfast buffet is excellent with something for everyone (except no chocolate sprinkes for the Dutch). Make sure your rate includes breakfast.

This gentleman made our stay perfect.
He gave us a map of all the highlighted areas to go and see.
He made reservations at Ponta do Garajau restaurant and the meal was fantastic.
This hotel was right off the peer and close to everything.

It might be a 3 star in Canada but there it's a 4 & it's fine. The staff is great, they'll do anything to help you, the wellness centre is great, the grounds are beautiful & well kept, the buffet breakfast that is included daily is just fine & if you have travelled in Europe before then you'll know...
