"WOST EXPERIENCE EVER On my second day, I greeted the maintenance lady and made sure the sign was up for room cleaning service, left the room (and double checked that the door was well closed) and was out for the day. When I came back, my backpack that I’ve put in a strategical position was open and on the floor, my passport out of the front pocket and my money out of my passport case (a bit over 200€ cash). My clothes were initially in packing cubes in my suitcase. I needed that money for the rest of my trip, especially for taxis since most of them don’t accept Apple Pay. Uber isn’t supported on Terceira island, Bolt drivers were all busy and I could only book an airport shuttle reservation for the next day. The manager didn’t want to compensate me or anything. I asked an employee at the lobby if he could order me a taxi that would accept Apple Pay and he accepted. Quick phone call and he confirms that a taxi will pick me up shortly. I asked him if he told the driver that I could only pay with Apple Pay to which he said yes but when the taxi arrived, he said that he didn’t accept tap credit card."
