A Fabulous Stay!
This house was fabulous for a weekend getaway with friends! It was extraordinarily clean and exactly as pictured. The host was easy to get in touch with and they provided wonderful little touches for us throughout the house. Check-in/out was super simple and having a driveway to park in was great. We're already talking about coming back again. Highly recommend!

Weekend getaway
My friends and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. It was a beautiful home and Kelli made it feel very homey. We enjoyed the gifts that supported the local businesses. I would definitely consider booking here again in the future!

Amazing House
The pictures don’t do it justice. This house is incredible. Plenty of space in this house. The hot tub is by far the best hot tub I have ever seen. Kitchen is fully loaded with all utensils. Only downside is there is no condiments or cooking supplies. So you need to bring everything if you plan on cooking. There is a fully stocked Kurig machine and a coffee pot for you own coffee.

Wonderful vacation
We had a wonderful vacation at Rosewood. Peaceful, secluded and beautiful. More space than two people needed but we loved it. Kitchen amenities were very nice for preparing dinners. Heated walking mat to the hot tub was just one of the many perks that made this place special.

Spectacular
Our group of 4 long-time couples stayed here. Kelli is just as thoughtful and attentive to detail as everyone says. There is absolutely nothing we can say negatively about our stay. Each couple had their own space, and with 3 full baths we didn't feel crowded at all. The kitchen had everything we needed but the highlight for us was the hot tub. Thank you for everything!

Girls Getaway
We had a wonderful stay! The property was better than described. A ton of space for our group to hang out and play card games. There was a fishing tournament, so lots of things going on in town. We found the antique shop to be a hidden gem and found a few things to bring home. We got lucky with great weather and the hot tub was so nice! Highly recommend!

Beautiful log home
The house is amazing, beautifully decorated , homey and comfortable! Spotless clean! Had anything we needed and then some .We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and loved the warm walkway to get to it! Awesome idea! Perfect for a group of friends who want to spend some time together catching up , being lazy and feeling pampered at the same time without having to spend a lot of time on the road ( we came from the twin cities). Kelli is very attentive and prompt with communication. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us.

GORGEOUS MOUNTAIN RETREAT IN THE CITY
Oh my gosh, you could not have told us we were in a city. It was so secluded and beautiful, but so easy to get to! The wine and chocolates that were left were so good, plus a little card!!! Kelli has really paid attention to the small details in the space and it's noticeable! 10/10 recommend more than a weekend, so you can take full advantage of the hottub.

We had a great time at this vacation home! Had all the cooking utensils and pans, crock pots we needed! Amazing hot tub! Only wish was there was an outdoor wood fire pit, in that beautiful setting would have been the cherry on top!

Beautiful Property
Such a beautiful space. Lots of comfortable places to sit and hang out. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the hot tub is luxurious with gorgeous views. The host was very responsive and communicative. The town of Independence does not have much to offer in the way of restaurants and bars. No shopping and lots of the places that they do have close at 5p on weekdays. This property is perfect if you bring all of your own food and drinks. The kitchen has everything you could need.

Thank you so much. Our town just opened a beautiful cafe downtown. We have 5 fully operational bars and 1 Mexican restaurant 1 Mexican food truck, butcher shop with homemade bake goods and nice bar/restaurant downtown. Many of our eateries are in the country. Please come back and enjoy our area again.

A perfect place for biking the hills of the driftless area. The house was lovely, with great attention to detail by Kellie. We were treated like royalty and would highly recommend Rosewood to anyone who likes to travel in small town America.

Stunning property
Hotel quality but comforts of home! I can't say enough kind things about our stay at The Rosewood. The house, itself, sits on a semi private cul-de-sac. The log cabin design and decor is both luxurious and cozy and made us feel right at home. There were multiple spaces expansive enough for our group of 9 to all hang out together, including a grandiose bar in the basement that was large enough for all of us to sit around with our food, drinks and enjoy playing games comfortably. Out back, there is a sprawling deck with a fantastic view, firepit, and our favorite, the hot tub. The reviews we read regarding the sparkling cleanliness were very accurate. Everything was organized and the bathrooms and kitchen were very well stocked. Kelli was really thoughtful about her special added touches and attention to detail: a complimentary local bottle of wine, bedside chocolates in a box with a little handmade label, local dollars that can be used in town, well stocked kitchen, a basket of towels right at the door to grab as you head out toward the hot tub, and thick, soft warming blankets that were perfect to wrap yourself up with as you sat next to the outdoor firepit or to dry off from the hot tub. We took a fantastic hike at Perrot State Park and toured a few wineries. We spent the weekend there to celebrate three friends turning 50. It was the perfect backdrop for our memorable event. One of the best VRBO stays I have had.

A Blessing!
Three friends yearly quiet retreat and over the many, many rentals we’ve stayed in, Kelli’s place was the only home we felt like we didn’t need to clean something first! Amazingly spotless and so organized. An abundance of dishes, pans, supplies, toiletries… Kelli has truly thought of everything to make her guests feel welcome! The home and the property were such a blessing to us - her hospitality made us feel like she was a sweet friend and yet we’ve never met her! We will be back ❤️

Love this place
My husband and I, adult children and grandchildren were in the Independence area for a wedding weekend. Everyone enjoyed the property. We immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. The hosts’ attention to detail in all of the thoughtful amenities was amazing. The architecture of the home and the creative decorating entertained all of us! We loved the roominess of the home that allowed privacy but also provided for togetherness. The hot tube was a big hit!! We will be back!

Sisters/Brother-in-laws motorcycle weekend
The Rosewood was a GREAT place to stay and be a centralized place to go for motorcycle rides all around the area. The hot tub was great after riding all day, and the home was very spacious. Would love to stay again.

The BEST yet.
Our recent stay at this amazing lodge, was beyond amazing. The second we walked in it felt like home! Warm, comforting and inviting. Every room, impeccably clean and decorated with amazing charm. Everything you would need to stay for the weekend was there. Loved the little extra necessities in the bathroom Kelli,… nice touch! The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was amazing. Such a Treat
What a beautiful property! The website description is spot on. Not a negative thing to say about Kelli's place, although you may want to bring a brew pot and grounds if you have a large group of coffee drinkers. There is a well stocked Keurig so don't worry otherwise. Kelli's home is great and the special touches were very "sweet". The hot tub was a hit with our family too. Cousin get-together
This is the second time we have stayed at Rosewood Lodge. It is a perfect location for our annual cousin get-together. Everyone has their own room with a very comfortable bed. Everything is “top of the line”which includes luxury linens and towels. The property is in a private location surrounded by colorful gardens. It’s definitely very peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was a new experience for us seniors. Once we rolled in it felt great! It’s a fun addition to the Lodge. Kelli provides a very welcoming home with all her personal touches. Communicating with her is immediate and friendly. Thank you Kelli for making us feel special. The added touch of a bottle of locally made wine and chocolates at our bedside were much appreciated. Rosewood Lodge feels like our home away from home! See you next year!

A gem!!!
Beautiful, very well stocked home. Three floors of living space, lots of outdoor deck and patio space. It sits atop a knoll so no flat yard but lots of trees and open space. Gas fireplace, grill and fire pit give this log home a warm and inviting aura. WE LOVED THIS PLACE. There are lots of stairs but our older family took them in stride. Not a lot of shopping in the area! Upstairs shower is small. Beds are tall - if you are short, bring a step. Kitchen is very well supplied- just bring your own food. All cooking utensils and cookware are there. There are games and tv but we did not turn the TV on so cannot say how that works. I wish all of our rental experiences had been this enjoyable!!.

This lovely log home does not disappoint. It sits up on a hill overlooking the friendliest town we have ever been to. We keep coming back because the house is so clean, comfortable and well stocked. It is decorated with many unique items and it is fun to explore to see all of them. We still see new things each time we are there. With bedrooms on each floor it makes it easy for everyone to have their own space, and they are very comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked and we had everything we needed. Kelli is an incredible hostess, and makes everything special. She has anticipated what a traveler needs and has the house stocked very well. She has been very helpful suggesting places that might interest us. Our group would happily give her 100 stars if we could! Thank you Kelli for sharing your beautiful place with us once again.

Very nice
The home is very nice. Really cute decor. Loved the shamrock tree for St. Patrick’s Day. The place has a pretty view and the host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The bed are very comfortable. The only thing I would recommend would be to stock the kitchen a little more. From places we have stayed at before, we were looking for muffin tins or bread pans, cooking spray and a dish scraper would have been helpful too. We did fine without them and had a wonderful time!
