Don’t recommend especially if you have kids
So a few issues. First-I had difficulty getting the company to respond to emails. I was scheduled to check in on a Monday and emailed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. No response. Finally found another way and got a person I think. Felt automated. Asked if we could check in a few hours early since check in is at 4 and was told no. Then the morning we left we get an email saying we can check in at any time. Really made me mad cause we would have altered our travel schedule had I known. This was why I asked. The WiFi went in and out the whole time. If we didn’t have a subscription to you tube tv we wouldn’t have had anything to watch. The first day rained and they had maybe a couple puzzles so my kids were completely bored. We didn’t see any fish at all which was why we went and I asked ahead of time if fishing was good and they said yes. The grill was filthy and we planned on grilling. My husband had to clean the mess out of it to use it. Outlets are not convenient to get to if using a laptop in the living room. Washer/dryer is awkwardly set up. Would’ve been better to have the stacking ones. And when asked if we could have another hour or two to check out I was told it would be $xx. We don’t plan on coming back to this location.

Quick Fall Trip
Let me first say that the place was very clean and comfortable. Being right on the lake was very nice and the views were great. The only drawback in my opinion was that the rental is literally directly behind the owner's house. When we were there, they in no way interfered or took away from our trip. I just would have preferred a bit more isolation. All in all, good trip. Just wanted to let folks know. We have family in Hiawassee and will be back up there when the warmer weather comes back. :-)

Needed R&R
We had a lot going on in our lives and needed a restful, peaceful place to recharge. This was the perfect spot! It was clean, welcoming, right on the lake, with a fire pit, and a covered floating dock. Morning coffee on the floating dock while it gently rained was such a special memory. With the roof over the dock we were able to bath in the tranquility while remaining totally dry versus having to stay inside.

Beautiful location, but very poor amenities!
The Chatuge Bell was beautifully located on the lake. The space was fine, albeit on the second floor over the garage. It was difficult coming in with luggage and supplies for 2 seniors! The amenities in the kitchen were lacking for a three week stay... few cooking pots, no wine glasses, minimal utensils. The mattresses were VERY soft :( We were given three pods for laundry, and two rolls of TP. A "starter kit" was never mentioned until we left (5 days early). Good thing there was a great grocery store nearby! The owners were in the home next door - very friendly. The area is perfect for a weekend stay - especially with kids who like to swim, fish and boat. Driving to the nearby towns of Blairsville and Helen were delightful. Views form Bell Mountain are gorgeous!

Great Lake Front Location
Chatuge Bell was perfect for us. We just wanted a quick lake getaway. The location was perfect, the house had everything we needed, and we would definitely stay again.

Lake Chatuge Gem
We loved this little place on Lake Chatuge. It’s the perfect size and the location couldn’t be better. We were surprised to find a brand new dock when we arrived. It was perfect for fishing or just watching the boats go by. It’s a very peaceful place and the perfect place to unwind. We will definitely be back!
