"The hotel is lovely and the staff was nice, but it was not a good experience. My room was unpleasant. My bathroom (toilet) didn’t work.

"The rooftop area was amazing and had a fun vibe to it. The entire staff was the best I’ve ever experienced at a place like this. Francisco was there almost everyday I was there on the rooftop area and he made it fun the whole time. Always provided amazing service and entertaining guy.
Ricardo who works in the lobby bar was also an absolute pleasure to sit, drink, and speak with. He provided a lot of good knowledge of the local area and was genuinely great to have as one of the first faces you see walking into the hotel.
The concierge desk, restaurant waiters, and cleaning staff were amazing as well. There are too many names to mention. Overall I would highly recommend this as a place to stay if you are looking to stay in Playa Del Carmen."

"Our stay at Paradisus La Perla was truly exceptional. Staff was pleasant, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurants were beautiful and the attention to guests was amazing. Alfredo in particular (at the reserve pool) was phenomenal and really made our experience top notch. We would love to return!"

"One of the best stays I’ve ever had - all the staff were friendly and efficient. Same issues as other all inclusive resorts such as not always being able to dine in the al a carte restaurants but that’s no different. Staff tried their best to accommodate dining requests. Amenities were incredible as was the availability for snacks. The facilities were phenomenal for 3/5 year olds and enough to keep adults occupied. Evening entertainment was super fun. Can’t recommend this place enough - will definitely be back and visit more ‘Melia’ or ‘Paradisus’ brand resorts. Thank you to ALL the staff on site for an incredible vacation. "

Our apartment was excellent for 3 people with the bedroom and sleeper sofa in the living room. We were glad to have had the kitchen with a fridge & coffee machine too.
