"Great Location Downtown Toronto"
We were in Toronto for a Bruce Springsteen concert, and this hotel is a five- minute walk from the Air Canada Centre. We flew Porter, and their shuttle brought us within a two-minute walk to the hotel. We walked to Chinatown, Eaton's Centre. Union Station is a five-minute walk for the subway. The rooms are small and pretty basic, but we were just there to sleep. It was very clean, though. There's a nice breakfast buffet in the cafe for $15, or you can order off the menu after a certain time. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful with directions, etc. Will definitely stay there again.

"A gem in downtown Toronto!"
Great hotel at a very reasonable price. We walked to and from the Air Canada Centre for a Springsteen concert. The next morning we walked to Billy Bishop airport for our flight home. Ocho is within walking distance of Chinatown, Kensington Market etc. We are a couple of 60 year olds who like to walk the streets of cities we visit. We also like to stay in boutique type hotels. In our future visits we will definitely stay at Ocho.

"Tiny rooms, nice boutique hotel for singles "
Stayed at this hotel for a night due to a Go Line Cancellation recently. Nice room, very modern, but also very tiny. Netflix on TV but wifi cut out at one point and impacted Netflix. Love the iPads in the room and the pastries in the morning were excellent with lots of variety. Staff very friendly. I'd recommend this hotel to single guests--I'm thinking ladies would love it more than men. Lots to do nearby. Great location.

"Comfortable and close to airport"
I just stayed one night coming in for business the next day and flying home. The front desk was welcoming and very helpful when asking about the return shuttle to the airport. The suite was very clean and spacious and since I was on the 15th floor, I had a nice view. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep. Definitely stay there again!

"Clean and basic"
The hotel is not far from the tube network to get downtown and has a bus stop just outside with plenty of buses to get where you need to go. Was really the only option for me as seemed to be the only hotel anywhere near the university. There really are no facilities at the hotel ie pool or gym or restaurant. There are a couple of sandwhich places across the road and a fairly decent "Boston pizza" sports bar about 10 minutes walk away. Everything else is a bus ride away. Room was clean but rather tired carpet and ancient TV with only local channels - no cable or sat or movie options. Aircon worked fine, but I would have preferred to be able to open a window for actual fresh air.

Gladstone Hotel

"The oldest (continually run) hotel in Toronto. "
This is a very contemporary hotel, but if you plan on staying on a Friday or Saturday night, please take note that there is a bar / club on the lobby level and if you're looking for quiet, you might hear some noise. They DO provide ear plugs in your hotel room, but it's quite lovely and if you are driving, I would suggest you pay the $25 a day to park across the street in the Gladstone Cafe parking lot. Your car should be very safe there, plus there is only one street you can park on (IF you can find a parking spot). The Streetcar picks up and drops off right in front of the hotel !! It's quite a nice experience though and I would stay again.
