"We had a wonderful stay at the Volcano Forest Inn. The large room, access to the full kitchen/common area, the quiet location surrounded by the rainforest, and the private deck allowed us to enjoy a relaxing visit. The inn has a great location just outside the national park. We were able to stop at several places before they became busy. "First off I’d really loved that. This was a very old and traditional type of hotel, which is why we booked it. The paint jobs were pretty poor but again understandably the garden was beautiful open large windows. Listening to the Coke frogs all night was pretty nice.. The fruit was fresh so was the coffee the pastries not so much could’ve done without them as they were like bulk bought. Yes unfortunately the building to the back looks like it fell into the cauldron of little mini forest behind it. But all in all I was happy with the facility. Only thing that would have been a bit more friendly I guess is that we would’ve gotten at least half of our first night back. Due to natural disaster of the tsunami, we could not get to the island cause all flights were canceled until the next day so if they want to give us half the nights it would be very grateful"

"Loved it !!! Great location. Beautiful, spacious and clean !!! Fantastic views and the sound of crashing waves was amazing. The pool was the grandkids' favorite thing to do in Hawaii. The kitchen was huge and the check-in was very easy. We hope to come back someday. And the mystery is solved. I thought the house looked familiar. After I got home, I found a picture of the same house with the pool. We had stayed there in 2009 !!! "
