"We had a fantastic stay at the Rainforest Cottage. The property was extremely clean and very private. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed and there was a large supply of items for use on day excursions (coolers, snorkeling gear, etc). "What an adorable house with everything you need. We wished we could stay longer than the one night we booked. We were easily at home and felt comfortable. Enjoyed everything about it, including the umbrellas which we needed! We would absolutely stay there again in the future!"

Paradise found

"We split our vacation to stay half on each side, and stayed here first. Because we are staying on the Kona side for the second half, we landed in Kona, so it was quite a drive - THAT WE WERE TOTALLY EXPECTING! This is not a complaint, just a statement ;) We arrived in the dark, but were still able to see what a beautiful home this was! We were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks below. We woke refreshed to the most beautiful views! Our days out were nice because we planned it so that we visited areas on this side while here (Volcano Park, and the coast up from Hilo). We walked the neighborhood and were greeted by a neighbor, we noticed that the Big Island has the friendliest locals (we have stayed at all the main islands)! We were sad to leave, but left feeling so relaxed and refreshed! The home was clean, our bed was so comfortable, and we had plenty of towels, dishes, and more available to us. We ate most meals there, and used the barbecue. This home is off the beaten path, in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with the most amazing views! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!"

"Guy running the place has knowledge that can make your stay bounce from great to greatest. Yes he has some rules but his place for three days cost me less then one night at Prop 19 in Kona and was a lot better stay. But that side of the island is family more original Hawaiian they are Community oriented. You hear Mahalo and they mean it. The people care about you when you seem lost and they walk over and ask what is wrong. At Big Island you can gain an experience that you will not get on the tourist side of the island. So this Is what you do gain there."

"We had a great stay. The home was very large and homey. It was clean, the hot tub was a plus, and the location was a very short drive to the Volcano National Park. I traveled with my wife, our two boys (ages 5 and 2), my father-in-law, and brother-in-law, there was plenty of room for all and my kids enjoyed the spacious back yard."

Off-the-Beaten-Path

"This location was the perfect spot for an off-the-beaten-path experience! It’s got a cafe, mini farm, hot tub/sauna, a nursery, and so much more. We only stayed one night in one of the cabins and it was excellent. You can hear the rains and the forest sounds right outside your window. The people there were also so friendly, inviting, and warm. "
