The only negative thing I have to say is when we first checked in the room was hot and the fan was very loud and wobbled. We did end up getting a different room because the AC was not working. The staff was super helpful and friendly!! The food was great! The pools were fabulous! We had a blast!!!! Beautiful property!!!

Saona Island was amazing and the most beautiful blue water I've seen. We enjoyed the snorkeling, swimming in the shallow blue water, and the beach. At Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana, we had the best times of our lives in recent times! From the arrival at the resort, the warm welcome by the bell men to the ever-smiling front desk, to the amazing housekeepers, spacious room, neat and very tidy, too, the beautiful ple tidal beaches, the very natural beachfront, the very delicious varieties of free drinks at every bar around the resorts (and there were many), to the many amenities that we couldn't even explore! I won't forget the very delicious and high quality buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, even the dinner reservations we were treated. My family had an amazing stay at Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana! We would be coming back again, definitely! I recommend Scarlet for her exceptional service to us, ad ensuring that our dinner reservations plus extra night reservation was on-poi t! Honestly, all the staff of the resort are trained to guarantee every guest and amazing experience. They are the best and we're grateful for their wonderful services and a very cheerful demeanor while at it.

What a great resort and you can see the ocean almost everywhere. Also so many options of areas to sit and be in the shade while in the pool. The staff is so hard working and we had a great trip.

Overall, I would rate this property 4/10. The best part was the food. The resort has Italian, French, Japanese, and steakhouse restaurants, and we enjoyed the meals at all of them. The biggest issue was service and communication. Most staff spoke very little or no English, which made basic requests difficult. Service was also very slow coffee could take an hour or sometimes never arrive. The rooms were okay, but housekeeping was inconsistent and we had to ask several times to have our room cleaned. On the first day, our AC did not work, so we were moved to another room. Then the shower in the new room stopped working and took about two days to fix. Getting around was another problem. Golf carts do not regularly circulate like at other resorts; you have to request one and may wait 15–20 minutes, so we often had to walk. Our room was on the fourth floor, and the elevator was also out of service on some days. We also felt some staff expected tips before providing good service. We did tip, but at other resorts the service felt friendlier and more genuine. Overall, good food, but the service, maintenance, transportation, and communication need major improvement.
