Clean restaurant and bar/pool, helpful staff, rooms were a bit outdated but with good views - food let it down.

Spotless room, excellent facilities, lots of grounds staff keeping the complex clean, heated pools in February- great stay and looking forward to visiting again

We would rate our stay at this hotel 4/5 stars overall. I want to preface this review by saying that some of the things I mention are definitely nitpicking, but that is largely because this is a five-star hotel. When you are paying for a five-star experience, you naturally expect the smaller details to be taken care of as well. None of the issues we experienced completely ruined our stay, and we genuinely enjoyed many things, but there were enough small disappointments that I think they are worth mentioning for anyone considering a stay here. We stayed in a standard “Melia Room,” which was nicely decorated and had a pleasant overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the location of our room was one of the things that made the stay slightly less convenient. Our room was located at the far end of the hotel, and the other window overlooked the parking lot. Because the hotel is so large, getting from our room to the main areas of the property involved quite a bit of walking. The room itself was attractive and comfortable, but the bathroom was where we felt it needed a bit more attention to detail. The toilet was quite difficult to flush, which was inconvenient, and there was some mildew in the shower. We stayed on a half-board basis, which gave us the opportunity to experience some of the hotel's themed dinner nights. The Asian night left something to be desired, and the dishes were inconsistently clean. We also had one frustrating experience with the front desk regarding the shuttle.

Canadian here. My wife (American) and I went to this resort on the last leg of our honeymoon for 5 nights in a Deluxe Room with a hot tub and ocean view. Despite the poor first impression, we had an excellent time! Facts: -The food was consistently outstanding at the buffet. They had a different meal theme each night we were there. -Next to the resort is a free natural swimming pool that is iconic in beauty and fun. The pool is shallow enough to walk in & be warm, and the ocean waves crash into & over the pool making for magical pictures. It's about 5 min from the resort (you can see it from the resort). It's NOT something for people who cannot walk well. This was our favorite part! (Piscina Natural Acantilado de Los Gigantes on Google) -About a 20 min walk south is Playa de la Arena. A black sand beach that is also beautiful. -The pier is a 20 min walk north, where you can rent jet skis (recommended but extra €) at Los Gigantes Blue or catch a boat tour. -All around the resort are good restaurants, and there is a corner store next to the resort too! -3 pools; all are very nice. -Spa seemed meh, but cheapish. -Tennis costs €5 for 1 hr with a €20 cash deposit. -Extra towels are €2. -The on-resort night performances were mid during our stay, and the activities were lackluster. Enjoyable, but not exceptional. -As a Canadian / American, getting here can be difficult; mostly the other guests were Europeans. -People all understood English, or found someone who did.

The hotel is clean and staff are lovely; however, the food (as part of the all inclusive) on a few nights was quite poor. Overall, we had a decent stay for the price of the trip

The overall experience was great. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful even though there was a difference in language. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Nightly events were fun and engaging. One feedback I would like to share, I do think the hotel has a sewer backup issue. They were days my room smelt like sewage. I did place a request in for them to check it out. Issue was temporary solved but found it's way too my family rooms which was next to my room. But overall I had a experience.
