Great place and great people!
We stayed there on a family fishing trip, and the house was perfect and right on the water! The house was excellent and everything was spotless clean! The Berry’s were fantastic and went out of their way to make this trip just right for us. Looking forward to staying here again!!
Even though the weather and water were horrible to be fishing in, the accommodations were just what we needed. The owner was very kind and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The interior of the Lake House is very well maintained and just beautiful! We happened to be there during a drought so the water level was low but this property is still conveniently located to other lake-access areas. Jeff was wonderful to work with and still allowed us to borrow their kayaks free if charge! The lack of cable and internet connection may seem daunting at first but it certainly helped my family to connect in person instead of just online. The only other thing to be mindful of is to wear good shoes due to sticker burs. I think Jeff is already in the process of trying to rid the property of those but I would still recommend closed toed shoes or boots when walking outside. Overall a wonderful experience and I personally would love to return!
We stayed at the Lake House. The pictures don't do the inside justice. It's very cozy and obviously well cared for by the owners. The lake was low during our stay, but Jeff and Margot made sure there was an easy path down there for us to go exploring with our kids. They were excellent hosts, and Jeff let me use an empty RV site to keep my EV charged while we stayed. We'd love to come back again, though we'd hope for better weather on our next visit.
We stayed in the lakehouse cabin. It was clean and was equipped with everything we needed. The park was very quiet and clean. The Owner Jeff was nice and accommodating. It did not seem like there was public access to the shoreline. We saw very few people. It was nice to have privacy. Other lakes and rivers are also a short distance from the property such as Inks lake/state park.
The property has some amenities like free kayaks, horseshoes, small playground. Not much to do other than relaxing, but is close to a lot of other fun things to do and see around the lake. Also this piece of the lake is not crowded like the parks. The house itself is nice and has everything you need, including a full kitchen and an outdoor grill. Just had to bring groceries.
Our stay at the lake house cabin was very pleasant and exactly what we needed to get away from work and the constant city hustle. The lake house was perfect and could easily accommodate 6-8 people but in our case it was 4 of us plus our family dog. The lake house is fenced so we were very comfortable with our dog coming being on the property. We took her for walks throughout the day and down to the beach style lake front. We used the paddle boats and kayaks extensively and enjoyed the quite nights star gazing. Made s’mores in the fire pit and used the grill in the lake house for some burgers, hot dogs and skewers. The only downside during our visit was that the water level was down a bit and it was mostly overcast during our stay. All in all we can’t wait to make a longer return trip.
We loved our time at the Lake House. Esp loved that there was beachy type area for our granddaughter. We all sat in floats and just relaxed and played. We also had 5 dogs, 4 large and 1 small, and it couldn't have been more perfect.

We had a wonderful time. The Lakehouse was clean and well equipped. The kids loved swimming and kayaking. We will definitely book a return visit next summer.
Title came from my 11 year old granddaughter - Stayed in lake house -
Very clean and neat little spot. Guests were very nice and followed all COVID rules and were very polite and respectful. Kids had a blast with the kayaks, tubes, bike rides (our own) and paddle boats. Weather was great with a few clouds now and then. Loved roasting marshmallows for smores. Bible study in early morning sitting on the swing on lake front with sheep grazing on near bank across water. Felt God's overwhelming presence. Guys enjoyed fishing with fish guide. Thanks for making this a special getaway after several cancelled out of state trips. Texas rules!
We had a blast staying at this lake house. Jeff was very welcoming to us and made great suggestions of activities to do during our stay. We have 3 kids and the nearby playground and DVD collection made things more convenient for us to relax. We loved how peaceful, quiet it was along with the private access to the lake. Would definitely be booking again in the future!
We were very happy with our stay. It was a long drive to Colorado Bend Park, but the closest house we could find to accommodate our large party. The house was clean and our favorite part was the free access to peddle boats and kayaks. I was under the impression the house was right on the water. It wasn't, but you could see the lake from the porch. It was just a very short walk. The house comfortably sleeps a lot of people, but there is only one bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked. This is an excellent property to book if you like to bring your dogs on vacation with you. The pet fee was the lowest I've ever paid, so we really appreciated that. Jeff, the owner, came and checked in with us the first night. He was quite helpful, but he didn't smother us. It wasn't a big issue for us because we were busy most of the time we were there, but it's worth mentioning I don't think there was any wifi and with Verizon we got zero service at the house. They do have a dvd library in their office though. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely rent this property again in the future.
We had a fabulous time! The house was great and met all our needs. My daughter and her friends had a blast celebrating her 15th birthday. Jeff, the owner, was very hospitable. I greatly appreciated his kindness and willingness to cater to our needs to make my daughters weekend go off with a success
We want to thank Jeff and his Mom( she's the cleaner), for such a welcoming and enjoyable stay! Our Lake House (sleeps 10) was perfect. Location, and cleanliness were Great! Anything we needed Jeff or his Mom helped to provide! Will definitely stay here again!
Stayed at the lake house two nights and it was great. More spacious than we thought and very clean. We really enjoyed our time there! The owner is very nice and helpful as well.
We really enjoyed our stay it was very comfortable and the house had what we needed. They only complaint I would have is the large amount of stickers by the swimming area. Other than that a lot of fun for out group!
Our family had the best time. We rented the lake cabin and it was beautiful though we spent most of our time on the water. Jeff the owner went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and let us know he was there for anything we needed. They provided paddle boats and a kayak as well as life jackets. It was just a beautiful place we all enjoyed very much. We highly recommend this property.
