Hotels in Grafarholt, Reykjavik from CA $73

The best time to visit Grafarholt is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is mildest and daylight hours are longest.

During this period, you'll experience Iceland's famous Midnight Sun, with daylight stretching late into the evening, sometimes almost 24 hours a day in June. This allows for extended sightseeing and outdoor activities without worrying about the light fading. Temperatures typically range from 10°C to 15°C, making it comfortable for exploring.

This season is particularly good for families looking to enjoy outdoor excursions. With the warmer temperatures and long daylight, activities like exploring the nearby nature reserves, visiting the local parks, or taking day trips to the Golden Circle attractions are much more pleasant. You can make the most of your days without feeling rushed.

Couples seeking a romantic getaway will also find summer appealing. The long evenings provide ample opportunity for leisurely dinners, strolls, and enjoying the relaxed pace of life. Many local restaurants and cafes extend their opening hours, and there's a pleasant, easygoing atmosphere.

If you're interested in seeing the Northern Lights, the winter months (September to March) are your best bet due to the longer periods of darkness.
