The property is ideally placed to walk into the city. It is kept to a high standard. Out room was spotless. The staff were friendly. The public areas are intimate and cosey. Bar menu was limited but the food and we didn’t eat at the hotel. But the food looked good and other people in the restaurant appeared happy. If you want something else to eat there are load of places outside the hotel. Parking was not a problem which was ideal for having a hire car parked in the city. Check in and check out was prompt and hassle free. We would happily stay at this property again and thank you to the staff for looking after us.

First of all, the hotel is beautiful and very well maintained by staff. It is quiet and conveniently close to Reykjavik center. When you enter the hotel lobby, you are immediately taken by the beautiful decor all around. They have a good size dining/bar area, small conference room, with a couple of lounge areas, free coffee and tea 24 hrs, fitness room, and free parking. I loved the ambience of the lounge areas and I loved just how they decorated the place with my favorite things. I love hanging out in the lounge area, even fell asleep one time. My room was cute and well decorated. I was impressed how well the bathroom was stocked with all your shower needs. There’s water heater and tea available. Housekeepers kept my room well cleaned on a daily basis. They did an excellent job in keeping me very comfortable. All the staff are very helpful and attentive to me and the hotel guests. I love their breakfast too. Special shout to Jimmy who worked night shift. He was very welcoming, friendly, and took care of my needs. He was very attentive to others and I can see how much he cares about his work. Thank you Jimmy and to all the staff of Eyja! I highly recommend this hotel and when I do come back to visit Iceland, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much!!

Our stay at the Eyja Guldsmeden made our trip to Reykjavik truly memorable! The location and staff are fantastic and super helpful! The hotel was clean and very trendy..its also a bonus that they are a green facility and make every effort to be eco conscious. We would definitely stay here again!
