We enjoyed our stay at Fisherman Village. The hotel is located outside of the city. It is quiet and peaceful. Price is reasonable and it is fair easy to get to. Hot tub and sauna work great for us. Definitely recommend the hotel if you prefer staying outside Reykjavik.
this was a great experience and value for the money, having a fridge was super handy because I was mostly hiking and doing outdoors stuff and not really focused on trying to find the best restaurants or something
What a little gem! We rented the room with the private hot tub and sauna and had the best time. If you are looking for private and quite you got it. No reception on site but with every call I made they showed up promptly and fixed my concern. Only downfall is there is no fridge to keep your food cold only a cooler. So having no restaurants nearby food options to have at the location where very limited.
This property is beautiful but the restaurant was closed and 20 minutes away from stores and restaurants. There was no office and was told to drive 20 minutes to go to a front desk and pick up a key so drove back and forth. The bed layout was inconvenient with larger beds up tiny steep stairs and no room to stand up or bring luggage. We should have known this in advance.
We had an excellent stay, hot tub and sauna were perfect. The layout of the room made it feel spacious. Very safe and relaxing area. Amazing sunsets and perfect location for Northern lights. We came in from an international flight very tired so the only thing that bugged me is I got charged a 50 dollar early check in fee. Our flight arrived at 6:30am so we just wanted to rest at the point.
