New as a Rental - Breakers Point offers a truly, one-of-a-kind oceanfront experience. It is situated on its own private 1.16-acre peninsula and surrounded by the mesmerizing Pacific on three sides, allowing for unsurpassed views of the north and south coastline and out to the open sea. The location is ideal for accessing all that the Mendocino Coast has to offer. Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens is less than one mile away. The historic Mendocino Village and all it has to offer is just a short 12-minute drive. You can be at MacKerricher, Russian Gulch, or Van Damme State Park in less than 15 minutes from this central location. These parks offer a variety of activities, including horseback riding, kayaking & beachcombing, tide-pooling, and extensive hiking trails. Glass Beach and the new Coastal Trail are just 4 miles away. The first floor's open split-level plan consists of the kitchen, dining, and living spaces. This bright, spacious, and airy oasis, offers the perfect retreat to relax and unwind. With large wraparound windows offering unending views, you can watch the ships, whales, dolphins, seagulls, osprey, and an abundance of other wildlife as it passes by all from the comfort of this fantastic home. The well-equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing a delicious meal with plenty of space, including a large center island and a built-in breakfast nook. In the living room, relax with a good book or movie. If you are up for a bit of sport, the lounge includes a regulation pool table and games. The second story includes two guest rooms and the primary suite with a private sitting area and a large attached bath—all with those unending views where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the sea. Outside, the large private peninsula allows you to roam along the cliff line, sit quietly watching the crashing waves, or watch the sun sink into the horizon as the day ends, making memories to last a lifetime. Due to its location and proximity to the cliffs, Breakers Point is not suitable for children under 12, and no pets are allowed. Please note that this property has a recording alarm system including exterior security cameras. There are no cameras inside or with any view of the property's interior. The security cameras are all located in common exterior areas and are all visible. The house was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything and more you would need which is rare when I rent a house. We like to cook and I always need something that a house doesnt have but this one had it all! They had a nice Bourbon for us. Im very sensitive to fragrances and they didnt have any sprays or air fresherers and the linens were washed with fragrance free detergent which was amazing for me! The location was excellent, the little town of Mendicino was adorable and we went there almost everyday only 12 minutes away.. great food, full grocery. Another full grocery 6 minutes away in Ft. Bragg.. You could stay close to home and still see and do all kinds of things. Loved it, I will recommend and would stay again. My first night I watched the moon slowly set above the water. I woke up before dawn to see the starry sky and saw my first shooting star. After sunrise, I watched seabirds alone and in pairs "commuting" north across the peninsula as I sipped my coffee. A family of deer grazed intermittently throughout the day. Easy check in and out thanks to clear and proactive directions. An enjoyable getaway from my urban routine, and a good compromise between the romance of isolation and access to everything that the community has to offer. ##### Erik S. We have rented a number of preferred VRBO properties and this was definitely the best. We were all in awe of the property being surrounded by the ocean. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks was very comforting. My family loved watching the sunsets every night, especially when we had a fire down by the water. It was a perfect, comfortable, relaxing home on the most breathtaking peninsula surrounded by the ocean. The home was plentiful with books, games and everything a baker or cook would need. We usually check out a couple of beach areas or ocean view spots but this place had all the views we needed. With two amazing points with outdoor benches to view the Pacific Ocean and it’s awesome coastline, steps down to the water, and awesome v unobstructed views rom every room in the home. I can’t imagine a better place to stay. The interior is lovely. High quality furniture, housewares and incidentals that made the house a perfect home for spending time with family and friends.
