"Nice hotel but apparently we went off-season so the restaurant and spa were closed. Our room was nice, large and clean. The pool is huge but we didn't use it. We love Borrego Springs but in traveling back we would stay in a place that is less expensive for the amenities included"

"This property is even more beautiful than the pictures show. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for a large family. They’ve remembered the little things like coffee pods and plenty of mugs, plates, bowls and cutlery as well as cookware. The furniture is comfortable, especially the rocking chairs in the viewing room. The pool was an absolute hit with everyone and the highlight of our weekend. Star gazing at night while swimming was magical. The only thing that was different than advertised was the room with the twin beds. It looks considerably bigger in the photos (it’s the smallest room) and although I clarified with the host that there were 7 actual beds, that room has two twin beds (better suited to children. Not for adults) and two trundles (which I don’t consider normal beds) with thinner mattresses. Again, perfect for children but not for adults. Other than that, the property is wonderful."

"This is an awesome and unique space in the desert just below Julian, CA. Reni is both the host and the artist responsible for much of the beauty inside the space. Amazing dark skies are visible here and it’s wonderfully quiet most of the day. There isn’t AC but there is a pump based cooling system. The property stays relatively cool even in the heat but be prepared to sleep in a warmer room than you may be used to."

"We had an amazing stay here with family. There is no one within sight and it feels so secluded and peaceful with gorgeous views all around. Not to mention, dark sky stargazing right outside the door. The home is huge with plenty of space to accommodate a large group. The beds are so comfortable, even the folding cot. Kitchen is well and fully stocked. We loved the amenities like the pool table, rocking chairs out back, olive oil tasting, and drawer full of extra toiletries just in case. The hosts are so thoughtful and very communicative. We enjoyed our stay and would be back anytime."
