View the desert, Cleveland National Forest, all the way to the Pacific Ocean on a clear day. Lookouts can be found around our highest points on this Property at approximately 5,000 feet elevation. VIEWS Magnificent rocky mountains tower above. State parks and hundreds of miles of forested hiking trails are in a National Forest surrounding this treehouse cabin. Many old trees in this area are estimated to be up to 300 years old! THE FOREST Our small treehouse Cabin opens to the outdoors for views and direct exposure to the forest. This exposure to nature provides a wonderful inspirational relaxing effect. Japanese call it 'Shinrin-Yoku' which translates to 'forest bathing'. The idea is simple: If a person visits a natural area and walks in a relaxed way, there are calming, rejuvenating and restorative benefits to be achieved. The cabin is meant for 2 people. However the maximum capacity for this cabin is five (5) persons. We recommend only two pairs of adult couples at most. The third bed is a twin size roll-away bed (31"x75"). 14\. GUEST FEES: There is a $14 charge for each person per night above two (2). Per person charge includes additional towels blankets & linens provided based on number of registered Guests in your party. 15\. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. The house has everything we need...along with a deck in the trees and a hot tub steps away. It feels you are in a hideaway on the hill with views to the lake. Unfortunately, it rained all three days of stay which limited our activities. Fortunately with a Spa/Hot Tub the interior was very cozy, clean and all the amenities one needs. The outside deck provides isolation with a beautiful view of the trees, hills, and lake beyond. Into The Woods is always clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Its a bit of a challenge bringing your belongings up the stairs but once your there its just great !!! We are in our 60's and really enjoyed the views, the sounds and the house. The cabin was very cozy and the surroundings were beautiful, even if we couldn't see much due to the foggy misty weather we had. It made it feel like we were in a cloud, which was cool. The jacuzzi was great and very much needed! The place is awesome but not for someone who has trouble climbing tons of stairs. Just a tip, consider whether you have the strength and stamina to make multiple trips up and down to your car carrying luggage or heavy bags. This cabin was so beautiful and relaxing. I loved the historical pictures of the cabin that were on the wall. Very quiet also. The house and jacuzzi were very clean. We found a great restaurant on the lake because Julian was way too crowded to even park. My only minor complaint is that we both thought that the pillows were uncomfortable. There are some nice lake views and a secluded feel. The kitchen is one of the nicest I've seen in a vacation rental. We brought our own groceries and cooked our own meals. I will mention here that it is about a 20 minute drive to Julian. The house is a good size for 2 or 3 people, There are some nice areas outside to hang out in, which we didn't do because it was cold during our stay, but during warmer weather would be great.
