Make “Seashell Cottage” your own beach retreat getaway! “Seashell Cottage” is a spacious relaxing three-story home with an expansive wrap around porch that faces our historic little, but lively town of Cape Charles & is steps from the soft-sand beach.

With 4 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths, there’s space to comfortably accommodate 11 people. “Seashell Cottages’” first floor offers two family rooms where you can unwind while reading a good book, playing board games with your loved ones or watching a movie! The well-equipped kitchen and dining area have an open layout to accommodate everyone's needs, with laundry and half bath. You also have porch access from the kitchen & dining room.

The second story has the master bedroom, which offers a queen-sized bed with a personal den. The master bath has two vanity sinks, an oversized bathtub and separate shower. The two other 2nd story bedrooms have queen size beds with sliding glass doors that take you out to the balcony to enjoy the views & the glorious sunsets overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. There is also a full bathroom for convenience.
The third-floor loft offers a relaxing sitting area, two twin beds that overlook the Chesapeake Bay, and an air hockey table, perfect for the kids or even adults in your group! Walking outside, the wrap around porch leads you to a patio area with a picnic table, additional seating & a grill for those nights when grilling out is a must!

“Seashell Cottage” is the perfect beach getaway, located right on the corner of the beachfront with only a few steps to soaking up the sun, building sandcastles or taking a short walk down the boardwalk to the fishing pier. Located in town, “Seashell Cottage” grants easy access to shopping, restaurants, mini golf & much more family fun.

Fun week at the beach

One block from the beach was wonderful for the grandchildren and adults. We could go and set up tents and the kids stayed at the beach the entire day and would go back after dinner. Great location and really nice house.

Annual Family Vacation

Nice house with a great location from the beach. Easy to get small children to and from the beach yet still a short walk to town. We had trouble when an air conditioning unit went down but the agents had it fixed the next day.

Great time steps from the water

We had a lovely long weekend enjoying time away with family. The house was spacious and perfect to accommodate our group of 6, the kids loved the private space upstairs!

Great Property

This is a great location with wonderful views of the water from the kitchen window and two of the upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and they have beach chairs, boards and floaties to use at the beach. The beds are very comfortable. Have stayed here 3 or 4 times.

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway

Needed a nice place to spend time with extended family and this was perfect. Felt like a home away from home... not your average rental. Beds and couches were comfy, FULLY stocked with plenty of linens, dishes, spacious with rooms for private time. Kids loved 3rd floor and parents had plenty of room to converse. Kitchen was fully loaded with plenty of dishes and pans, seasons (we had brought our own), and more. I’d say only “whine” was no HD tv cable (just plain cable on HD screen) to watch football on thanksgiving, but that’s not why we were there so boys can suck it up. Would definitely come back!

We.have rented properties for 40 years. We chose this property because the bedroom configuration and location were great. I gave this property a 3 star because of the lack of cleanliness. The property needs to be deep cleaned and decluttered. There was also a strong musty smell in the kitchen especially inside cabinets. This could easily be a 5 star rating if the property had some TLC.

Wonderful week and Fabulous Location

We enjoyed our stay and found Seashell Cottage to be a great fit for our family. It was a short walk to the Beach. There were nice beach chairs and umbrellas and the floats were a big hit. The air hockey table in the loft area also provided lots of fun. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked!!! Thank you!!!

Documentation

Had to read all of the instructions to avoid a $35 fee for not removing my trash to the town dump. (this was not noted in the check out procedure which would have resulted in a hidden fee) I have rented 4 years in Cape Charles however on this property, I did not expect that on closing day I would have to haul trash. My other three rentals just required me to just place in outside trash can and let the garbage service pick up the trash. Also...did not know that you had to haul the trash can to the curb on Tuesday for pickup. That was annoying. Otherwise very nice property, well kept and great proximity.

Perfect location

Best location. Right at the beach and close to town! Pics need to be updated because there is now a house right next to it, which we were not aware of. Other than that, great place. Everything we needed.

Great house with one problem

The key to the front door does not fit the door to the second story balcony and opening the door to go out to the balcony does not disable the lock and door locks again when it is shut. Easy to lock yourself out.
