Nice location

Nice house and neighborhood. Kitchen was lacking in utensils , most drawers were empty.

Vacation made easy

Everything one needs for a relaxing vacation. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, walking distance to shops and restaurants, short walk to the beach, space to spread out, great porches.

Great house, great location

The house and location worked well for my older parents, young son, and dogs. It was within walking distance of the beach access. No complaints about anything!

Light and airy aerie

Lots of natural light, open floor plan, plenty of space. Clean and well-maintained. Located very close to the iconic lighthouse. A few steps away from the ocean - you can walk for miles along the shore!

Overall very satisfied

The property was very clean, well furnished and well decorated. The interior was well-lit and cozy. Bedding, bathroom supplies, and kitchen needs were all provided. The only 3 minor suggestions I have are 1) to better clean the carpeted areas as to remove any sandburs that may have been brought in my previous visitors, 2) to provide thicker blankets for winter visitors, and 3) to install or provide humidifier(s) so the air inside isn’t as dry in winter. Overall wonderful stay, would go again.

Beach house

Location, and beach access great, quiet friendly neighborhood. The rental description indicated that there was a community pool available, which was not there on the property. It was about 10 miles away. They also indicated in the description that the lighthouse was within walking distance and it was not., in fact it was under repair and boarded up and not accessible at all at any time. The biggest disappointment was, The house was dirty. It had not been cleaned between the people that had just moved out and us moving in, the toilets had poop on them. The sinks were not cleaned and the tubs were dirty. The floors were so dirty that the white socks got black. The beds were clean we had clean towels. The furniture was a little bit outdated with stains that felt dirty. The dishes and all the pots and pans were put away dirty with chunks of foods stuck on from not washing, everything we cooked with had to be pre- washed. Nothing in the house to cook with except for a little salt and pepper only. No spices, oil, nothing. No iron, no blow dryer, only 3 pods for 3 loads of laundry, one bath towel for each, no extras. No beach towels. No cleaning supplies left to clean up after the last tenants/cleaning crew leaving the poop spattered on the toilet. We liked the property and the location and we would like to come back, but we would like to have them have a professional cleaning company ensure that the property is cleaned prior to us moving in. Our overall rating would be a 2 1/2.

Great Place and Location

This property was spacious, comfortable and prime location for Hatteras. The basics were provided for a short stay, such as dish soap, shampoo, bar soap, toilet paper & paper towels. Check in and check out was a breeze. The unit was clean. The only thing to be mindful of, which is accurately listed, is there is NO grill - so bring your own. You will need to download the Vacasa App for wifi, check out information, etc., so I would do that ahead of time if you haven't!

Absolutely lovely

It was brand spanking new and so close to the beach. Everything I needed was within a quick 2 minute drive. Conner's grocery store. The ABC store, Buxton Munch, Orange blossom bakery, Bait and tackle on every corner and ya gotta try the chowder at the Diamond Shoal. Ask for Bonnie she is a peach!

Wonderful Stay - Quiet community - Short walk to beach

Place was clean and well kept. Easiest check in/check out process. All handled via the app. Very dog friendly hosts. Buxton is one of our favorite places to go, this place is definitely recommended!
