Our property is fully fenced, and when you arrive you'll open up the corrugated metal gate to 2.5 acres with room for 4 cars to park. As you enter our 1086 sq ft home you'll be greeted with a spacious and bright kitchen and living room with a mid-century feel. Pop a record on the turntable and crank up the volume before finding two large bedrooms with cal-king platform beds and dedicated workspaces should you need to clear your inbox before taking time to unplug. There is also a single bathroom, with a shower that includes three shower heads for a spa-like experience . Open up the garage door and make the most of this hangout space with a pool table, ping pong table, and enjoy the colors on the horizon from the beautiful desert sunsets from the cozy couch. Before you head to bed, make sure to take time to soak, relax and stargaze in our hot tub, and if you time it right, you just might be able to catch the moon rise! Guests will have access to the entire home, garage, and property, including the washer and dryer if needed. We are always available through in-app messages or a quick phone call. We love to make sure you have what you need, but like to give our guests space during their stay so we won't message you outside of check-in and check-out unless you prefer us to. Our home is located in Flamingo Heights, a quiet, tranquil, and eclectic border town to Joshua Tree. We are steps away from La Copine (New American Cuisine), a popular women owned, elevated, roadside, dining experience, and a short drive to Giant Rock Meeting Room (Pizza, Drinks and Live Music), and Moon Wind Trading Co. (Local Artisan Shop). We are located not far off Old Woman Springs Road on well maintained dirt roads, which are easily navigable by any vehicle. Since we are located in the northern part of the Joshua Tree desert area, a car is necessary for traveling to and from popular destinations, sometimes along unpaved, rough dirt roads. We are centrally located to all of the adventures the desert has to offer: off road trails in Johnson Valley and Landers to the north short 10 min drive to the tranquil Integratron 20 min drive to Giant Rock short 10 min drive to Highway 62 and Yucca Valley 18 min drive to Pappy and Harriet's & Pioneer Town 20 min drive to Downtown Joshua Tree 25 min drive to the entrance to the National Park Pet-Friendly Accommodation: We happily welcome up to two well-behaved pups for an added $40 pet fee paid at booking. The jacuzzi was perfect for relaxing, the bedrooms were peaceful and featured wonderfully soft mattresses and the kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of cooking gadgetry for all of our home cooked meals. We appreciated the little touches like the record player, the robes, and we especially enjoyed the jacuzzi after a long day at Joshua Tree National Park. The stargazing is amazing from this location. While this home feels secluded, which is what we wanted, it is within walking distance of 2 fabulous restaurants, La Copine and Giant Rock Meeting Room. Justine is very communicative and gracious. The outside area is so lovely and it was so peaceful to take in the desert beauty both day and night. Only one hiccup was we were notified a couple days before our arrival that the pool/jacuzzi maintenance person would be coming on their scheduled day, which was the only full day we had booked there. If I knew this ahead of time I would not have booked here. However, I could not change the booking at that point, so I requested to know when the worker would be coming. I received a two-hour time window from 8am-10am to work around, so we made it a point to leave the house and do some sightseeing (Giant Rock is a must see; be mindful the drive is a bit sandy/rocky, a regular car may struggle). However, the person had not come during the time window, and we were not notified until after we returned to the house, and were given a new window of 12pm-1pm, which was when we were planning to use the pool.
