Very dated. Wi-Fi was extremely slow. Paper mill town with many chemical smells. Comfortable bed and great hot water. No hair dryer in rooms.

Colonial Downs trip
I stayed here because i was going to the big races at Colonial Downs. I needed a place to crash for 2 days, so i didn't need anything fancy. Great rate for what i needed

We had requested an early check in time, which was available when we arrived. There is no check-in desk and staff can be called by ringing a buzzer. The pool, which is still listed as an amenity on the motel's web site, had been filled in and is now a grassy plot. The on-site restaurant was closed for breakfast the morning we left. Very limited dining options in the vacinity.

Would have liked to have directions for use for the spa. Also would have liked replacement towels when house keeping removed the ones we had. Overall the experience was positive!

Great budget motel/hotel. Nothing fancy but a clean place to spend a night. If I had to complain about something the bed was a little bit small to be called a queen. If you are going to put 2 adults on one bed you better like to snuggle.

The heat was broken so we froze all night. The toilet leaked all over the floor onto the carpet onto the carpet. The owner did not speak English and gave us a towel to stop up 526 gallons of water that had spilled. There were bed bugs in the bed. The refrigerator was warm almost hot. When we spoke to jankey she was rude an not helpful.

The remodeling of the bathroom looked great. The room was lots cleaner than other times I've stayed here. People could be a little friendlier when guests check in, but overall, it was a great stay.

Housekeeping left something to be desired. There was dirt and hair in the corners of the bathroom and hair on the shower walls. The night we arrived there was something sticky all over the floor of the sink area which we wiped up with the bath mat. The mat was replaced the next day. We were there 10 days, and the carpet was not vacuumed once. For the price it was adequate. Definitely no frills, which was fine, but could be cleaner.

I was concerned about this hotel because of some reviews but we had to stay in this area and it was the only hotel. However, while not at all fancy - it is a roadside motel - it was extremely clean, safe, and comfortable. There was a coffee pot and a mini-fridge. I did not see a spot of dust in any corner. The shower and bathroom were absolutely clean. It also had a night desk check-in. Not a resort but a fine place to stay. I thought some reviews I read were not reflective of our experience.

Little gem
Cozy, place second time we stayed there and this quiet little town is so cute. The hotel doesn't look the greatest on the outside but it's super clean and nice on the inside

You get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for. We just needed it to sleep for two night while we were at Busch Gardens. Nothing more. It’s not an over the top place, but for the price, I’d stay here again! If you google this place, it’ll say there is a pool… we found out there actually is not a pool (the kids were upset) & it has been removed YEARS ago.

Old but well maintained and clean
Very dated interior with a cramped bathroom. It is well maintained and clean though. I would stay there again. Good size TV and the room was comfortable.
