Comfortable Cabin
Overall the cabin was as described. Easy drive to Prairie du Chen, Effigy Mounds, and Pikes Peak State Park. We did identify some maintenance and cleaning issues that we communicated to the guest contact. Main concern was the loose stair railing. Patio doors had a haze between the glass panels which hindered the view the living space.

This property was unique! We loved the location. It was private and remote yet close to Prairie du Chien. It was very clean and comfortable. Loved the deck! We would definitely stay there again!

The property was very nice. It was exactly what we expected. Very clean, well maintained and had all the amenities we needed. One thing that would be nice is a full length mirror upstairs. It was very cozy and we enjoyed our stay very much!

Not what we expected for the money
Smelled like dead mice with air fresheners. Mice droppings in kitchen. No view. Overgrown with brush and trees. Needs new windows and patio door, updating inside and out, trees trimmed, landscaping, holes filled around the AC lines to prevent mice. No coffee of condiments. Batteries dead in the HVAC thermostat. Not nearly as nice as others we visit for the money involved. Would not recommend.

Great getaway cabin!
Great cozy cabin! A bit difficult to find at first, but worth it! Finally a cabin that has an entry way with lots of HOOKS! Appreciated many little things that were provided: bug spray, bandaids, foam roller, games and extra blankets. The property is mostly quiet but you can hear some road noise. Lovely decor in living room and bedroom. Master bed comfortable, could use some furniture to put your clothes in though. Awesome HUGE deck! Beware of the stairs: they are VERY slippery and steep; we had a few falls on them... no bueno. Kitchen is pretty well stocked, but could use more than just 6 plates. Would love to see a washer/dryer and wood for the firepit. Overall, great experience and would recommend it. Very helpful guest contact. Thanks!

We had a good stay at this cabin. A few things were slightly uncomfortable. We saw mouse droppings in the kitchen (cabins have mice, doesn't have to be a big deal. Wanted other renters to be aware, though). We heard the highway traffic and the livestock from cabin. The furnace/air flow from using the heat is quite noisy. The northern window in the bathroom slammed my finger pretty bad. Be careful if opening that window! On the other hand, the views, trees, stars and privacy were excellent. It was quiet at night. The bed and couch were comfortable and the kitchen functional. The shower is good. The porch is amazing. It is a lovely area to explore and see the hills, trees, rivers, farms, apples, and pumpkins.

Fun Fall Getaway!
The cabin in the woods was a perfect setting for a fun fall getaway! The cabin was updated and our kids loved sleeping in the loft! We enjoyed beautiful fall color while we had drinks on the porch and the s'mores making around the bonfire pit was a highlight for our kids. Evan was great to work with and quickly assisted when we reached out! Great cabin for a fall getaway!

Nice cabin, nice people but.. ended the stay early.
The cabin was well decorated. Wasn’t sure why only half of the deck was power washed though. We learned to do a thorough exam of the place before we stayed. Some belongings from another stay was left behind. For a honeymoon, might not be a place for a little getaway. The contact was nice to work with though apart from all of the problems we had.
