Family Holiday on the Gorge
The view was beautiful, the accommodation had great potential, however we were very disappointed with the uncleanliness of the rental. When you pay for cleaning fees upfront and you show up and have to start cleaning, it is very disappointing and we probably wouldn't stay there again. Not sure who the cleaning crew is, but time to hire new cleaners. : (

Do not stay here!!!
I recently booked to stay at this VRBO, and I must say, it was a disappointment. The property did not live up to the advertised photos, even though I had messaged Bill to ask more information about the property. The condition of the stairs leading to the suite was so poor that my elderly mother couldn't navigate them, forcing us to leave and search for alternative accommodations. It's frustrating that the listing didn't accurately depict the state of the stairs, as it would have helped us avoid this situation. To make matters worse, we were unable to cancel or obtain a refund from VRBO since Bill refused to refund me. I had also personally messaged Bill several times to resolve this matter amicably, but he has refused to reply any of my messages. Proceed with caution when booking this property.

Perfect home away from home
This was the perfect home away from home for us! Clean, spacious, and absolutely gorgeous. The host was always quick to reply to questions and so helpful and kind. Seamless check in and check out. Nothing can compare to the location! It was such a luxury to wake up to this view every day and still be in such a central location!

This is a great location central to everything in the Greater Victoria Area.

This place is beautiful and the rooms are big plus the view from the porch was amazing and peaceful. I sat on the porch the majority of our time there enjoying the cranes and otters. But there were some issues. First I never got a manual yet on arrival your told to review it. They said vbro had the issue and gave us a paper with it but the information was incorrect. No leaving instructions and the WiFi code was wrong but eventually got it after a few hours. The other thing is check out on the site said 11am but received a message the morning of us leaving saying check out was 10am. I complained and pointed out there listing and again they blamed vbro. My other issue is the bed comforter smelled dusty and not clean. Based on how long a load of clothes took to dry, there is no way those comforters and sheets were cleaned between renters and I could tell after I smelled it when I went to lay down. We also were given 2 half rolls of toilet paper which would be nice to know prior we should buy our own. There was no hand soap dispenser but was a 2 liter bottle under the sink so had to use that big bottle each time we went to wash our hands. Also if you are elderly or handicap, do not rent here. I almost fell several times on the steps as they are small and steep and no railing. My teenage daughters even didn’t feel safe walking up and down them. Aside from all this as I said the apartment (below a main house) is beautiful and the view is amazing but I wanted to be honest of it all

Amazing
Everything about Bills place was amazing. The view, the location, the cleanliness of the place. Communication with Bill was really prompt! There is not one bad thing to say about this place. We really enjoyed our stay. We will be back :)
