Country Houses Universal City CA $142

It is very close to Universal Studios and offers free parking. There is a 24-hour coffee machine, and bread is provided in the morning. The surrounding area is safe, with various restaurants nearby. In fact, it feels more like a motel than a hotel. However, overall, it was a very satisfying stay. I also appreciate the friendly and professional staff.

It was incredible. Better than any chain hotel I've ever stayed at. It had everything you want from a hotel - clean room, friendly staff, complimentary breakfast, etc. - but this is a hotel with *personality*. It is this gorgeous art deco-ish theme from the lobby to the rooms to courtyard (where you can sit by the fire). I didn't expect this to be something I cared about but it really adds to the experience! It also the most traveler-friendly check in/out times of any hotels I looked at in my...

Great vibe. The whole family enjoyed our stay.

All of the staff were friendly and kind, the rooms were very clean and the hotel was very quiet which was nice.

Quiet and clean hotel very comfortable.

Clean room and excellent service

Walkable to universal studio

Xavier is a very good host.

The hotel is very chic but is above a bar and some rooms can have a bit of noise if there is a performance downstairs. Parking is a block away and is included with the room which is such a bonus for inner LA. The area does seem a bit sketchy at night but we didn't have any issues.

Location was great. The staff were friendly and the housekeeping was really good. I think some of the doors need a bit of love as they are pretty banged up but otherwise bedding was amazing and very comfortable

The ambience, it’s cozy. You don’t see a lot of people along the way compared to the usual hotels (which I liked, btw) the place was clean, it’s got a nice view. Pretty quiet for a weekend in Hollywood; and I was really able to chill out & relax. Would definitely go again.

Perfect spot for going to Universal Studios Hollywood

Such a nice time!

Everything was perfect the staff was excellent and the workers were well trained and great to talk to for assistance definitely stay here again

Hotel was very clean and comfortable and in the area of where I wanted to stay while in LA. Fantastic location close to shopping and restaurants. 15 minute walk to Universal Studios. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. having stayed in LA a number of times to visit my daughter, hotel price was a lot less than other hotels i've stayed in while in LA. Will definately be staying there again.

Super clean rooms, great location.
