I sent my husband for a weekend a relaxing by himself and he absolutely loved the property! He wasn’t able to arrive until 11:30 PM but it was very easy to find and keyless entry was perfect. All the amenities were fantastic, we’ll definitely be back as a family! I realize in remote areas Wi-Fi can be spotty but he had no problems.

Great Getaway!
We stayed at Bear Run while introducing our kids and grandkids to Red River Gorge and the Natural Bridge. The cabin was great. It is located about halfway between The Natural Bridge State Park and the Nada Tunnel (just minutes away from each!). We explored in the morning, came back to the cabin to eat and rest, then explored more in the afternoon. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well enough that it was easy to put together family meals. We spent many relaxing hours in the rocking chairs on the front porch. Bear Run was a great place to just kick back and relax! Check in was easy and communication was excellent. We even received a text warning us that a storm was approaching. We had front row seats, safely rocking away on the front porch, as we watched Mother Nature's fury! We definitely hope to return the Bear Run in the future!

Beary Cozy Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at Bear Run as a great location for exploring the Red River Gorge area. We hiked and did a kayak tour during the day, and relaxed in the hot tub and counted bears at night. As parents of a three year old, we were worried about the stairs and loft being very open, but it was easily fixed by large baby gates we brought with us. Other reviews mentioned road noise, which was noticeable, but not bothersome with the leaves in. The cabin itself was stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. Overall we had a great stay and would consider returning when we visit the area again.
