« We arrived for check-in and were greeted by the manager. She showed us the details of the room like the airco/heater. Our room was clean, beautiful, charming, and filled with antiques. It was like staying at a wealthy uncle and aunt's house. I thought a lot about the history of the house and wondered who might have been to parties there a hundred years ago. The neighborhood was quiet, and pretty close to the Strand and the beach. We'd definitely stay there again. »

« Ma compagne et moi avions réservé cet hôtel en bord de plage à Galveston, j’avais laissé un petit mot pour que l’on puisse avoir une chambre face mer si possible. Lors du check in, nous avions simplement l’impression d’embêter (pour rester polis) l’employé qui essayait de suivre son match à la télé ! Je lui ait demandé gentillement si nous pouvions avoir la chambre avec vue mer et il m’a simplement dit « non » avec une excuse du genre « c’est complet » alors que l’hôtel n’était absolument pas...
