"Anniversary trip fancy hotel"
Very well appointed room. Bed luxurious with soft sheets and good support. Shower very well designed modern comfort. Air conditioning vented directly to bed with responsive thermostat. Excellent. Friendly, quick and professional staff. Good location, with ascetic appeal all around. Improvements should include better television selection (abc, cbs, nbc, telemundo, 4 sports, cnn, & WE)[spread over 1-24 with static between] After staying.. Would request a room that is not next to the maid service room(Very loud twice a day) Wouldn't pay extra for ocean view as this historical hotel has no balcony. Enjoyed stay thoroughly.

"Expensive Beach Hotel"
Room not ready. To high price for size of room. Child friendly. Cater to families. Led to believe 2 adults and 3 small children could stay in one room. Way to small. One of the smallest bathrooms of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything very expensive.

Great breakfast by the owner Dave. Everyone at the family style meal asked for the recipe. Comfy bed, nice outdoor patio. Cookies, coffee and soft drinks included and available all the time.

Hot tub with pool and out door sauna is great Large pool with sit down bar and full lounge tents. I was vey satisfied with the amenities exercise room and it seamed like every room had a great view of the ocean. Only thing I thought could be better is softer beds but they were not that bad just not the softest

I visit Galveston off and on for school. I've stayed at several hotels over the last few times. This Sheraton was the nicest place I've stayed so far. Very comfortable bed. Lots of outlets to plug my computers, phones, etc. . . I also felt very safe, important to a woman traveling alone.
