We drove from Los Angeles, check in wasn’t until 4:00 pm. We got there at 10:00am. They accommodated for us and gave us a room with early check in right away. I’ve never had that before. The location was outstanding and the hotel had lots to do.

Very convenient to Wharf, Alcatraz, bike rentals, etc. Game room and outdoor areas are great. Rooms are adequate and clean, though are starting to show their age. Be aware of a $30 resort fee due on site, which isn’t apparent when booking on Expedia.

The hotel is located just steps from Fishermans' Wharf and easily walkable. Flet very safe and clean. Having parking available on the site in a parking structure behind a gate was very convenient and added piece of mind to our stay. Would definitely recommend to others and will stay here again!

Everything was very great the cleanliness could be improved a bit more but overall it was very great. Great staff let us park early before our reservation. Got two free s’mores kits for the evening. Lots of games to play in the hotel game room and outside.

Great area, easy access to many food options. Right next to pier so there’s great views. The only negative was that my light switch wasn’t working so I had to use my lamp light.

Very cool, unique property but definitely needs a refresh. Clean and comfortable. Make sure if you want a view of Alcatraz, my one request and paid to upgrade, don't get room 4340. You'll have a view of the sky wheel and the big stone structure that almost COMPLETELY blocks Alcatraz. Our first time in San Francisco and I was very disappointed in that.

The property was designed to look industrial, but it was very dirty. There were clothing stickers on the wall in our room from the previous guest. The outlet in the nightstand was pulled out and had exposed wiring. The toilet seat was so worn, that it had marks on it. There was marks of mold in the bathroom as well. We won’t be returning to this hote.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. There is an amenity fee each day you stay, so it was not worth staying at if you don’t have children and will be out all day.

Hotel Zephyr was great. It was a super cute boutique hotel right on fishermans wharf. From our room we had a great view of the wharf. The ONE negative I can say about this is that the Hotel Zephyr sign is right smack in the middle of your view of alcatraz. All my pictures from our room have that sign in the middle of them. If they could just scoot it over that would be great (small thing to complain about I know) The ferris wheel is right outside too. I know all the big cities are going with these things but they really do just change the landscape. All hotel zephyr staff were nice. Keep in mind there are no vending machines in the hotel so take snacks when you go. The area around the hotel was just ok. The first night we got there the 7-11 around the corner had lots of cops there because of a fight in the store that involved guns. I didn't really see security around the hotel anywhere, but I still felt safe inside the hotel grounds. After dark more of the homeless locals come out. None really bothered us but just something to think about. There is a hotel bar/restaurant attached to the hotel property but it closes at 9:00 pm so you can't really have a drink there too late. The game room area in the hotel was super cute. We didn't have a car so we didn't have to park there. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

good location on the embarcadero. just about everything was online. just had to show Id and we had our key. Given tticket to two smore kits to roast at the fire pits. Plenty of information on what was around to see and where to eat. Old building has some noises but did not interfere with sleep. Would definitely come back.
