The location of this hotel is excellent. It is across the small park from the Chateua Frontenac entrance, at the top of the old city. It is surrounded by shopping, restaurants and the sights. You will not need your car once you arrive. Overnight parking (in the parkade under city hall) is a little tricky to access because of the one way streets, but is actually only a two minute walk from the hotel front doors, once you are parked. Our Chevy Tahoe just barely fit (in fact, it was taller than the height indicator at the entrance but ultimately did not scrape on anything once inside) due to the height restrictions of the parking lot, however, so if you have a tall vehicle, beware your vehice may not fit. The rooms are obviously recently renovated. Very nicely done. The shower fixture was so fancy it took me a few minutes how to operate it. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was nice enough, if somewhat reserved. They were ultimately helpful and polite, if not overly warm. The restaurant downstairs was excellent for the one meal we had there. The charm of the building and the hotel in general and the surrounding buildings and neighbourhood is wonderful. We will stay here again.
