"This is in a great location and in a great building, but is very run down. It seemed clean enough, but grimy i.e. stained, but vacuumed carpet; broken light switch in the bathroom, but clean shower; nice quality sheets, but too small for bed, kept popping off the mattress. Frayed chairs in lobby, nice place but has maybe seen better days."

"Check in wasn’t as easy, they told me I had to wait until 3:00 pm ( even though I arrived at 2:54pm) and after waiting about 30 mins they were unable to complete bc rooms were not ready so I decided to drop my luggage and once I came back at night, it was fine and I got my room. "

"I was disappointed in the TV and how quirky it was to operate. We had guests on our level running up and down the hallways at 3:27 am, knocking on doors and yelling. That isn’t the hotels fault but interrupted sleep regardless. "

"Close to Capitol Hill and walkable to many parts of the city. Staff was kind and the room was consistently maintained by housekeeping. I would highly recommend."

"Our room was spacious and quiet. In the kitchen there was a fridge that was stocked with drinks. A separate fridge and a microwave would be great. "

"It was a fine hotel but the coffee house in the lobby was way too expensive. There are better options in the surrounding area. "

"Front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind. Our room was ready early which was also very nice. It ended up being terrible weather during our stay so we tried to book some spa services to stay out of the weather. The spa didn't answer, but then did call back to inform us they didn't have any staff actually on site and would have to call them in. They couldn't actually tell us if we could book an appointment until the next day and asked us to call back. The next morning called back to try again-but no answer. We had breakfast in the lovely dining room-decent food and very nice waitstaff. Also had dinner in the lounge. The cocktails were delicious, but the food was so-so. There was a large conference and I think the kitchen might have been overwhelmed-food took forever to come and was just not great "

"This is a ‘no frills’ option; but if you are sightseeing like we were the bedrooms had everything you needed. Bring earplugs as you are on a busy corner. But you are SO well situated to walk to all the sights and get the metro to/from Dulles and bus to Georgetown. Would happily stay here again. The staff were all extremely helpful "
