"My room and bathroom had not been updated in over 40 years!! Old amenities made the whole place kind of sad and it felt dirty even though I am sure it was cleaned. And the door did not have a chain or even a heavy duty lock. I travel several times a month and have for over 30 years this is the first time I have had to put a chair under the door."

"I had a great stay at this hotel. Everything was spotless, and the cleanliness really stood out. The location couldn’t be better — you can walk to plenty of restaurants and cafés, which made exploring the area super convenient. Overall, a very pleasant experience and definitely a place I’d stay again."

"The only downer is that you have to pay for breakfast when it should be free. But the room was nice and the staff were great. No issues and still gave 5 stars."

"Great location. +Close to the Metro stop. +Our room faced west so we had a great view of the sunset. -I would have preferred having curtains vs the roman shades so that I could see out without having other people in the houses next to the hotel see in. The toilet height is definitely made for short people so if you're over 5'8" or of large stature, you'll feel like you're sitting close to the floor. The staff is nice and helpful. Overall, we would recommend this hotel to our friends and stay there again."

"They had continental breakfast, but it wasn't free and the rooms didn't have microwaves nor were there any in the lobby. Overall everything else was great!"

"The line was long for check in. They were short staffed and staff made a mistake with a room assignment to another customer which held things up even more. Our room entrance was shared with another guest. It felt awkward. The room had 1 small mirror in the bathroom. The street noise was loud. We have stayed at much better properties in DC. The Line and The Hilton had much better service ! We have stayed many times in NYC and had excellent service and experience there.. We would probably not stay at Lyle again. "
