I loved this property. It was close to the Metro and great food options. The staff were amazing from when Sabrina checked me into the hotel, through when the doorman watched my bages for a few hours after my stay. I'll definitely be back when I'm in DC.

The property was super nice and quiet. The room was comfortable and had all standard amenities. Beds were comfy. The room had blackout curtains which was great too. The hotel location is another of its strengths too. Short walkable distance from the National Mall, a bunch of public transportation options nearby (including the rail train/metro), and many decent and affordable food options. All the hotel personnel were super helpful and friendly. We'll definitely make this hotel our first option next time we're in DC!

This was my first time staying in DC, and the hotel was very convenient to the train station. Would of given 4 stars but had some issues. Unfortunately, during a three-day heat wave with temperatures over 100 degrees, the AC struggled to keep the room cool. Additionally, the ice machines were empty most of the time. One night around 2 AM we woke up with our room at 86 degrees. When we contacted the front desk, they told us the whole building AC was out and they offered to get us a room at a different hotel. Unfortunately, we would have to get there in the middle of the night, did not want to do that since by the time we would of arrived there it would be time to get up. We ended up opening our door and having the cooler in the hallway to come in, but we had to stay awake, it did cooled down to 80. I would have given a higher rating, but the AC and ice machine issues brought the score down to 3 stars.

We enjoyed our stay overall, but there were some issues. None of the ice machines were working for 2 days and the front desk told us to call room service for ice. Room service told us it wasn't their problem and that they'd let us know when the machines were fixed. They didn't ever call back. Also, it was in the high 90°sF during our stay and, unfortunately, the AC went out in the middle of the night on the third night of our stay. They did act quickly and got it repaired in a fairly timely manner. Finally, housekeeping took forever to get to our rooms each day. 3x we were in our room getting ready for dinner when they finally showed up to change beds and towels. We ended up just giving them our dirty towels and accepting a random armload of clean towels from them. We only enjoyed freshly made beds 1x during our 4-night stay. Great place overall, but some unfortunate happenings during our stay.

Some of the staff were lovely, some were blunt and unfriendly. The hotel was immaculate and clean and smelled nice. The room was clean and bedding was nice. The valet was very expensive and I didn't realize parking was not included. Breakfast is also not included, which I thought it was. We ordered mimosas which were 12 dollars, then when we asked to do bottomless mimosas, they said theyd have to charge the 12, then the 15 for bottomless mimosas... they should have mentioned this when I ordered and not after. The food in the restaraunt was pretty good. The microwave is in a dinky closet-like room with an old fashioned ice box. There are no fans in the bathrooms, which seems outdated to me. On the last day of our stay, the AC to the whole entire building went out, so I requested a refund for that day. They gave me a refund for the valet instead, which, surprised me, but the clerk I dealt with was blunt. I expected a refund for the day with no AC, which was more money than I got back. Overall, I give 3.5 stars, because the hotel was nice, but I likely will not be staying there next time. It seemed at every turn, I was being nickel and dimed, which is fine if you have expendable income, but not for me and my family. My rating would be lower if not for the two very kind staff members I encountered during my stay, who made our stay feel more luxurious than some of the others who seemed unhappy to be there. Its a fine place to stay if you are wealthy and dont mind spending money.
