Clean room. Great location. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Window faces a brick wall that’s 3 feet away, so no daylight or view at any time of day. Hotel was aesthetically beautiful.

Great location, old style boutique hotel. Easy walk to the museums and close to a good train route to some other attractions like the Arlington Cemetery and the Washington Nationals Baseball ground. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in town

My room was very nice, a recent renovation, quiet and dark for sleeping. The lobby is not renovated, and security there is lax. There's no restaurant, so when I checked in I asked the clerk "where do guests like to go for breakfast" and her reply was "we don't serve breakfast." I pointed out that this was why I was asking her that question.

Overall, we had a good stay at the Architect Hotel. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very helpful, friendly, and cooperative throughout our stay. However, the bathroom was a concern. The bathing area was not designed well enough to prevent water from spreading, and after taking a shower, the entire bathroom floor became wet. This made the bathroom inconvenient to use afterward. With some improvement to the shower/bath area and better water containment, the overall experience would be much better. Apart from this issue, we had a pleasant stay and really appreciated the helpful staff.

the ac is all over the place in the room. Don't turn the fan off it blocks out all the noise from the street. The rooms are tiny. Hotel staff are just chilling. Never got the extra pillow I asked for 3 nights in a row. Shower is mild pressure and you can not move it so scrubbing and moving in circles is a must. Water can be super-hot so beware. Steam gets in the room easily and the light switch auto turns on the fan so RIP if you have a partner light sleeper. Elevators are small and slow one was broken. There is some food spots around the hotel but everything closes early. If you get the rooms cheap then its a ok,

I like the best of this hotel is its location, which you can see on the map. Moved from another hotel to the Architect Hotel, the water pressure impressed me. I heard that this hotel went through a renovation, but it maintained its old charm. One nightshift receptionist was particularly helpful to make sure that he would get my lunch bag from the refrigerator before 7 am, and handed it to me as soon as I stepped out of the elevator heading out to work. I loved to stay there for three weeks.
