Anniversary blahs

Posted 12-Oct-2016
Location: I will say, it's a great location near the downtown and the mountain.
I had called ahead to confirm the reservation and mention how excited I was as it was our first wedding anniversary. When we got there, they asked us the purpose of our trip...which is not exactly a big deal, but when you know a guest is coming for a milestone or a celebration, Hotel 101 says you note the file. Some hotels provide perks or upgrades, I didn't even get a 'happy anniversary'. The room was mediocre because of the chunk of glass on the bathroom floor when I first walked in. The mini fridge made so much noise it kept me up at night. The elevators are odd because of the two working, one of them only fit two people at a time.

Fine, very average

Posted 11-Oct-2016
Pros: Very good location
Cons: The mini fridge made an insane amount of noise, enough to keep me up at night. There was a shard of glass on the bathroom floor
It was a good location- very no frills. Only two elevators working, one of which only fit two people. I had called a week ahead to confirm the reservation and specifically said it was our first wedding anniversary- while I'm not that disappointed we got no upgrade or anything nice- they didn't even have it noted for when we arrived...that seems a bit Hotel Service 101 when a guest is celebrating a milestone with you. Still can't get over how loud the fridge was- sounded like a popcorn maker all night. First time in the bathroom, nearly stepped, barefoot, on a random chunk of glass...!? Very no frills, you get what you pay for.

Very comfortable and centrally located hotel in downtown Montreal. Large well appointed rooms. Super clean and fast elevators.

Great place

Posted 3-Oct-2016
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: Construction in front of the hotel made it very difficult for arrival. We arrived at 5pm but by the time we found parking it was 6pm.
Location: Shopping and restaurants so close.
This was a lovely hotel. I enjoyed the valet, the room and the staff. We had blown a fuse (3 hair dryers, straighteners, charging cell phones) and asked front desk to have someone fix it. Within minutes, someone came to our door to check on it and fixed the issue right away.

awesome location for all of downtown Montreal

Posted 2-Oct-2016
Pros: location
Cons: checking staffing
Location: near major museums , the entertainment area and the rest of the tourist sites.
Checkin was a long wait as there were only two staff on duty, both with problem clients. the area is a zoo to get to, due to street construction in the downtown area, however once you get there, you have an excellent location for all the downtown destination spots, particularly the museums and entertainment areas
