The hotel was decorated with an eclectic mix of modern paintings and art so every hallway was a visual treasure. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy access to restaurants and shopping in Old Montreal as well as to the port. We will definitely return next time we stay in Old Montreal.

Lovely hotel in a great location for exploring the city. Breakfast was described as continental but consisted only of croissants, pain aux chocolate, yogurt and apples. For a hotel of this standard, I was surprised that this was not a full continental breakfast with a wider selection of breads, teas, jams, cheeses and meats. Overall the breakfast offering was basic but of what was there was a good quality. Room was spacious, clean and beautifully designed. Other thing to note was access to hotel is by steps and if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues, it is not convenient. All staff were lovely - perfect balance of friendly and helpful.

Good location. Overall quiet. Rooms could use some new carpet. They did not provide bottle water in the rooms which would be helpful. Staff was friendly. Breakfast is minimal- crossaints, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee, juice only. The breakfast did not bother us, enough to start the day.

Wonderfully unique property that is full of character and charm. Delightful, warm staff members. Very much enjoyed my stay here. Not only was the room comfortable (big bed, nice bathroom), but Lhotel is full of art and personality. Ideally placed on the line between downtown and old Montreal -- both are equally walkable. Located between two different metro stops that make it easy to jump to different areas of the city. There's a pharmacy (Jean Coutu) a few blocks away for incidentals and plenty of diverse food options (and chains) in the old quarter.
