Our remodeled house is ready for you. This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom bungalow-style home also comes with a detached studio that can be used as an art or work space. With beautiful views off your private front deck, you'll feel like you're in LA but still enjoy the peace and tranquility of having your own place in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of natural light floods the living area and attached dining room. Brand new central air conditioning and heating comes in handy during those hot summer days. Very serene, peaceful setting with a huge tree-filled backyard. And feel free to pick those delicious figs off the tree before the squirrels get to them! The house has been furnished with beautiful modern and mid-century finds and designer decor, along with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The Room & Board sofa in the living room pulls out to an incredibly comfortable full-sized bed. The large flat-screen comes equipped with AppleTV, making it easy to stream to your heart's content. Original hardwood floors throughout. Full-sized kitchen stocked with every appliance known to mankind along with a full set of pots/pans, matching dishware, etc. Handmade reclaimed wood dining table makes for a lovely dinner party. Full-sized bathroom with shower and tub comes stocked with luxury bath products. Stackable washer & dryer. As fellow house renters, we appreciate the importance of a good night's sleep! The bedroom's black-out curtains and ceiling fan help lull you to sleep and even sleep in if you're feeling decadent. The queen-sized bed is incredibly comfy and we use only high-thread count luxury linens along with protective covers on the mattress and pillows to help you sleep worry-free. Experience what it’s like to live in the trendy, artistic neighborhood of Silver Lake, known as the "Greenwich Village of the west," full of unique boutiques and restaurants, world-famous coffee houses, a beautiful reservoir (with running path and dog park), and Tuesday and Saturday farmers markets all within walking distance of the house. It's an eclectic neighborhood of creative people, artists, musicians, and environmentally conscious businesses. Bike or take a quick car ride to movie theaters and grocery stores. Itching for a celeb sighting? Check out the Hollywood Farmer's Market on Sunday mornings, or take a stroll around the world-famous Grove shopping area. Only a 10-15 minute drive to Hollywood, downtown LA, LA Live, Disney Hall, Universal Studios/Citywalk, Dodger Stadium, the Grove, and Griffith Park. More studios closeby than we can name. Beverly Hills is about 20 minutes & Disneyland is about 40 minutes away. Beaches are a quick 30 minute drive with easy access to the 101, 5, and 10 freeways. Silver Lake is a great walking neighborhood but even so it's always a good idea to have access to a car in L.A. Is this unit already booked for your dates? Or are you traveling in a group? I had mentioned this to the owner when booking our stay. In addition to a welcome basket, she surprised us with a beanie baby for our granddaughter. How thoughtful! This describes the owner. She has thought of many special touches to make this bungalow comfortable for either short or extended stays. The kitchen and bathroom are very well stocked. In addition she checked in by text to make sure that everything was ok. There is lots of room in the living and dining rooms. The bedroom is a little tight, but most importantly the bed is very comfortable. (And I am one of those fussy people when it comes to my bed.) The owner has provided a binder with basic information for things you need to know about the property, as well as, information on restaurants and choices of activities in the area. There is also a binder of instruction manuals for all the appliances. We never had any problem with parking whether we came home in the afternoon or at 9:30 at night. We had a 6 night stay so we had experience with both weekend and weekday parking. We plan on coming back. ##### Muriel B. The property is very well maintained and had all the amenities we needed (including shampoo, bath gel, etc.). Kitchen was well stocked as well. We couldn't get the DVD player to work so I called Stacey who was immediately responsive. She came the next day to try and fix the issue, but turned out it wasn't hooked up. It wasn't a problem since there was Netflix and lots of TV. She tried very hard to work it out, and was so friendly about it. We also liked the property's location, as it was close to several restaurants, as well as to downtown LA (we had tickets for the ballet), and Universal Studios. One afternoon we just took our Kindles out to the front deck and read under the shade of a lovely tree. The only downsides were, 1)the dresser in the bedroom, since the drawers didn't work properly, and 2) windows were hard to open and close properly. We would definitely recommend Stacey and her apartment to any couple wishing for a central location in this area. ##### Sheila G. Kitchen is well-equipped and bathroom is roomy with lots of towels, nice shower. Front deck is really special--you feel like you're in a treehouse! Rear garden is pretty. All in all, great stay. Stacey was very responsive to our questions and an issue with the plumbing, which was quickly resolved. Photos and descriptions were accurate. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom location was away from the street and therefore very quiet. The bathroom was well supplied with shampoo, conditioner and soaps. The location is perfect for walking to the shops and restaurants of Silver Lake or just a short drive to other points of interest. The neighborhood is mostly quiet and I felt safe coming and going at most times of the day. I could entertain my son and his wife here rather than depending on being at their apartment the whole week I was in LA. Stacey is accessible by text, solicitous about my needs, and I knew I could count on her if I had any problems. Location: silver lake/ echo park is a good location to access the greater La area by car. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable. I am in my late 60s and was easily able to walk to sunset blvd to shop groceries at the farmers market. Comfort: the bed and fold out were extremely comfortable. The kitchen provided all the utensils and supplies needed to cook a memorable meal with the local produce. The decor was aesthetically pleasing and wifi and TV was easy access. A welcome basket of wine , nuts and candies was especially appreciated after the 6 hour flight. I use VRBO frequently. The apartment was comfortable, with beautiful gardens in front and back. Nice views from the front deck. Parking on the street was easy. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment, so we packed less for this trip. There are several good restaurants nearby. Stacy made sure we got on ok, everything was to our liking and provided wine and snacks. The bungalow is clean and neat. Ample supply of cooking implements and utensils. Last year we were here for Thanksgiving and this year for Christmas. We have 2 sons who live in LA and this little gem is just blocks from one of them. And this year my son's in-laws rented the bungalow next door. This place is perfect in every way..decor, size, amenities, location, noise level (as in NONE).
