The lobby at the mid-century Standard Downtown LA has been designated a historic landmark and DJs spin nightly in the lobby lounge, which features fuchsia couches and a Calder-inspired mobile. The 24-hour retro diner serves new American cuisine and has an outdoor patio.
Views of the downtown skyline surround the rooftop terrace, which features a heated outdoor pool, red astro-turf sundeck, waterbed cabanas, outdoor fireplace, poolside bar and café, and dance floor. The hotel hosts live performances, billiards competitions, and other events, and showcases performance art and video installations.
14,496 square feet (1,350 square meters) of indoor and outdoor event space includes 4 fully equipped meeting rooms and lofts with customized audio-visual equipment. A 24-hour fitness center is also on site. Additional amenities include ticket/tour assistance, concierge service, and luggage storage. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public spaces. Valet parking is available (surcharge).
Rooftop access for registered hotel guests is guaranteed between 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. daily. The Rooftop Bar opens and food service begins at noon. Hours are subject to change due to private events.
The dress code for The Rooftop is at management discretion and is enforced after 7:00 p.m. No casual shorts, flip flops, athletic apparel, team logos or sports hats. No sports jerseys at any time.
Children’s policy: Minors are allowed before 7:00 p.m. if escorted by a hotel guest who is 21+
In the summer (May - September) minors are allowed only before 12pm on Saturday and Sunday.
